Story
STOP! The cuteness is unfathomable! Imagine a pint sized nugget that gives a little grunt when you go in for a squeeze/hug. Taffy and Tilly are loving life right now not much to do other than eat, play, sleep, repeat. They frolic until pooped then snuggle down for a nice long nap. They both have the sweetest dispositions. They are in a foster home in Memphis , Tn with other foster doggies and lots of comings and goings so very well adjusted to noises like vacuum cleaners, barking dogs, washing machines and general daily chaos . Once adopted, they will travel to the northeast via Rescue Vet Transport. (additional cost of $185). They leave Memphis, Tennessee each weekend, Friday mornings, usually around 6 AM and make transport stops along the route all the way up to West Greenwich, Rhode Island. If you would like to make one of these cuties a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. As always, thank you for choosing to adopt! You will find that our team of volunteers are very responsive so be prepared to adopt before submitting your application. We spend countless hours reviewing applications and calling vets so we want by I make sure you're prepared to adopt before we invest this time! https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Look at those cute freckles on his nose! Ludington is estimated to be about a year old and weighs 38 pounds. Ludington is a playful, wiggly, and loveable young pup who is full of energy and enthusiasm. He has the cutest bouncy prance while playing fetch, you can tell he is just so darn happy doing it. He also loves being close to you, just leaning in and using his gorgeous soulful eyes to connect with you. What a good boy too, he has a perfect sit and sits for everything, wanting to please you. Ludington loves to go in the car and makes a great copilot, he is going to someone such a wonderful best friend. An experienced adopter who can provide leadership and confidence building is just what he needs. He also needs a home where any children are at least 8 years old as he can still be a little mouthy when he is excited. Ludington can’t wait to find his forever family and fill their lives with love and all his goofiness! If you are interested in Ludington and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Weebles is a 6-month old neutered male border collie/bully mix (his parentage is known). His date of birth is November 12, 2023 - and we actually know his date of birth which is very unusual in rescue! Weebles was adopted as a young puppy but after a few months his owners decided that a young, energetic puppy was not what they wanted in life as they did not have the time or energy to focus on training him. Weebles is a sweetheart of a dog and is always up for an adventure! Weebles is a very energetic little dude weighing in at 36 pounds currently, and will probably top out at 40-50 pounds fully grown. He is house and crate trained and LOVES to rough-house with other dogs; he is respectful of dog-savvy cats but if he knows he can make a cat run, he thinks this is a very fun game and loves to antagonize more fearful cats so he can turn it into a game of chase. Weebles is very smart and enjoys learning new things with treats and toys being his reward. He enjoys meeting new people and going for walks and runs. Weebles is a sweet, sweet boy who deserves to find a forever-home!

Story
East TN. Out of state welcome. Transport may be available to your area in the Great Lakes or northeast regions. If you are seeing this in Adopt a Pet the great news is that the transport fee is included in the adoption fee. We use rescue riders for all our transport needs because they are the best. Meet Minnie. She and her sister were surrendered to rescue by their owners who said they were 4-5 months old. When we received them they were certainly not 4-5 months old they were only 4-5 weeks old!! We were not aware if this and would have sent them back to be with their momma, however when we saw their condition we decided they would be better off with us. They were loaded with fleas and their skin had open sores and rashes and raw spots and infection from scratching the fleas. They were finally healthy enough for their spay and are about eight weeks old now. They have had two rounds of puppy vaccines and spay and microchipped. They will need two more rounds of puppy shots and rabies when they are old enough. They are super sweet puppies and a little shy at first but they have pretty good confidence. We were told momma was a rat terrier type and they said daddy was a mixed breed medium sized dog. So we can o it guess they will turn out to be a small-medium size fully grown. We offered to have momma and daddy spayed and neutered and were told they have vouchers for them already. Apply at petpath.org
