Hi! My name is Tammy-Faye Pickles and I am from Arkansas. From her foster: “Faye- Faye” is what she is called most. She’s sure starting to love the Minnesota weather and is the best snuggler. Faye-Faye is super smart and very food motivated which makes training more breezy. She knows sit, lay down, and she just mastered shake! She is doing really well with recall too. She sits before being offered her food and when she needs her leash removed. She loves tummy rubs, her bones and finding the best branch to chew on. She also makes the cutest little snorting sound randomly and is getting better each day with potty training (consistent schedule) and crate training (with more daytime practice in the crate, she’s becoming much more comfortable, learning it’s a safe space to be alone). She sleeps through the night in her crate perfectly! Faye-Faye’s is working on her social skills in play time with our resident dog (A Great Dane). She’ll bark at him to play and I think it scares him 😜. She’s learning her manners with the little kids too, minimal puppy biting and jumping but does occasionally forget when she greets them first-thing in the morning as her excitement gets the best of her. With a “off” command, she listens. Faye-Faye was used to being with her mama and litter mates before entering our care,so I feel she’s often looking for that warm body to snuggle up with. It’s so cute, she’ll immerse herself in the sea of pillows on the couch if no one is available for a snuggle sesh. She’s getting good exposure to dogs, kids, adults, car-rides, walks in the woods, and occasionally a cat (whom she does get a bit too excited to see and chases). Faye-Faye is a lover with the cutest round puppy eyes!

Hi, my name is Aether Mist . I am from Arkansas. From her foster: Aether Mist is a sweet, happy and adorable puppy. She loves my dog and is always play-bowing around him. She's a cuddly pup and loves to be held and will sit on your lap where she will usually fall asleep. She is teething and chewing so is making good use of a couple teething toys from the rescue. She has learned to sit (not stay yet) and is treat motivated. She likes people and is very social. We are working on house training. She does very well using puppy pads which is good because I don't always get her outside in time. She's not sure about the leash--will walk a few feet and then pancake on the ground but will get up and try again. She does really well in her crate. I leave it open for her to go in and out and she will sit in there and play with toys. She will whine a very short time when I put her in at night or when I'm going out but then quiets down. She sleeps all night in her crate and waits quietly until you take her out in the morning and a couple nights has not had a potty accident. My cat is in hiding so I don't know how she is around cats and she rarely barks. She is tiny so would probably do better with kids older than a toddler.

Welcome Bear to CCPAL foster program. Bear is a young male that is 7 months old. He is 50% Border Collie mix and maybe Terrier or Lab. These puppies all love the water and would love a home that allows them to play in the water. He is the biggest of the 3 boys and a stronger but very sweet personality. He is the most outgoing of his litter. He has the long beautiful coat of the Border Collie. He is outgoing and social and is slightly less attentive than his two brothers. He should be 50 pounds full grown. He currently is about 27 pounds. He walks wonderfully on a leash and will be a wonderful family companion. He lives with children and is around goats in his farm house foster home. He has long beautiful and shinny fur. He is knows sit and can walk on a leash. He is good in a car and friendly with his litter mates. He hasn’t been around any other dogs but his litter mates. They are all boys. He has the striking looks of a Border Collie. We would love someone that knows and loves the breed to apply for Bear or any in this litter. He is outgoing enough to be the only dog or would be fine with another dog as well. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Hi! My name is Ozzy and I am from Texas. From his foster: He loves taking naps, going for car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his humans. He is doing very well with potty training and crate training. From the vet team: After coming into rescue, it was discovered that I had a serious heart murmur. An echocardiogram with the University of Minnesota Cardiology determined that the cause of my murmur was 2 heart defects. PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus - a defect that causes the ductus arteriosus to not close properly at birth) and pulmonic stenosis (a narrowing of the pulmonic valve). I had heart surgery where a device was placed in my artery to close the hole caused by the PDA defect. I have a recheck echocardiogram in February to determine if a balloon valvuloplasty surgery is necessary. While I am still a puppy my family will want to keep a close eye on me and give me lots of breaks if my heart ever becomes too rapid or labored. Should I ever experience irregular respiration, extreme lethargy or fluid buildup in my abdomen this may require emergency care. TBB will agree to cover my recheck along with the balloon valvuloplasty surgery if recommended at that 3 month recheck scheduled in Feb 2025. Because of these heart conditions they also advised that any elective surgeries such as a neuter be delayed until after that recheck. TBB will agree to cover my neuter procedure if completed at TBB or an approved veterinary partner.

Hi! My name is Shindig and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Shindig is probably the cuddliest puppy we have ever fostered! He LOVES CUDDLES, and LOVES kids! If you sit on the floor (or couch) he immediately wants to be in your lap. If you don't leave enough room on your lap, he will curl up behind in you in your chair. He also LOVES toys and playing both inside and out. He does great with dogs, cats, and kids! He loves to wrestle, tug, and play with other dogs, but after a good round of zoomies flops down for a nap. He loves to follow a kiddo around the house and does great with being "manhandled." Crate training is going super well, he may just voice his displeasure for a little bit when you leave him home alone. He sleeps in a crate in our room overnight without a peep and sleeps through the night! As far as potty training, he is doing great on a schedule and comes running for his treat when he's finished his business. He has been learning to ring the bell on the door to signal he has to go out, but he's not 100% solid yet and may have an accident or two, but he is smart and learning quick! If you're ready for puppy snuggles and shenanigans, Shindig will make a great addition to your family! From the Vet: Shindig has a condition called color dilution alopecia. He will live with some level of hair loss his whole life, but this is not something that needs medical management at this time.
