What we know about Gus: Great with dogs Great with kids (has lived with kids and another dog previously) Awesome temperament Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus is located in East, TN. But if you are seeing this on adopt-a-pet, transport fees are included in the adoption fee. Out of state adopters are welcomed. Transport is available to your area in the NorthEast or Great Lakes area. We use the most animal friendly transport on the road (Rescue Riders Transport)! What we know about Gus: Dog Friendly Kid Friendly Has lived with kids and another dog previously Awesome temperament NO cats Calm, great on a leash About 2 years old Potty trained Crate trained Loves snuggles Gus came to us extremely underweight, nearly bald, with open wounds all over his body due to Demodex mange. He has since recovered fully and is ready to find his forever family! Gus was far too interested in the cats when we cat tested him as his herding instincts are present with these types of animals. However, he is great with other dogs and we use him to help introduce new dogs to the rescue. He also does fantastic with the 3 year old human on the rescue property! Gus has gone out on multiple Doggie Day Outs and did so well each time! He was his happiest self at the dog park with his rescue buddy (Folly) who has since been adopted. He likes to meet new people and go for car rides! We think he could be a heeler mix because of the speckles but we truly still don’t have a great idea about breed. The regrowth of hair didn’t help us with this as much as we thought it would 😂 Note: Since Gus has a history of Demodex mange, this means he is genetically predisposed to this condition if he does not take flea/tick prevention regularly. He is currently on Simparica Trio and doing so well. Please let us know if you have any questions about this condition!

Whiskey was born July 15, 2023. He came into rescue at 8 weeks old when the owner couldn’t find him a home. His mother is boxer and father Black and Tan hound. (Pictures of parents attached.) He is a sweet playful pup that has done great with small and large dogs. He is crate trained and doing very well with his house training. He loves toys and sticks to chew on. Meet Taylor!!! This sweet girl is a 7 month old female pitbull mix who came to us from a local cruelty case. Taylor had a rough start in life. She was found with her siblings as a stray in Plainfield and sent off with animal control. Sadly Taylor was one of the dogs we rescued from the Mahwah Cruelty case. She has been through so much in her short 7 months on earth but you would never know it when you meet her. She us a happy, super sweet, extra cuddly nugget. She is a little scared of loud noises and new things, but we have slowly been exposing her to new experiences and the is gaining confidence everyday. Taylor loves to snuggle and is learning to play with toys. She is learning to walk on the leash and has been doing beautifully in foster care. She is potty and crate trained. She loves other dogs and to romp and play. She doesn't mind cats and would do fine with children. When Taylor came to us she was very underweight. She has been slowly gaining to reach a healthy weight and the doctors feel although she may always be on the smaller side, due to malnutrition, she is otherwise 100% healthy! I have to tell you guys, this dog is amazing. Whoever adopts her is going to be one incredibly lucky family. Meet the Beautiful Tater! This sweet girl is a 1 year old female American Bully mix. She is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything she meets. She loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. She still has lots of energy and she loves to romp and play. She never turns down a good belly rub. Even though she is considered an adult, she still has lots of puppy energy! She loves to play ball and to run around the yard. She would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! She is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. She can't wait to find her forever home!
