Lucy is a beautiful little Boxer mix girl, about 10 years old and 40 lbs, who loves going for walks and playing outdoors. She’s had a fair amount of training and knows her basic commands, but as with any dog, she could use an owner who will keep up her training. Lucy is cautious upon meeting new people but once she trusts you, her loving side shines through. She has a strong personality that requires an experienced dog owner. Lucy loves to go for rides in the car, walks at the park, swimming, playing with her toys, and spending time with her favorite volunteers. She has spent far too long waiting for her forever family to come along (almost 7 years in the shelter...). She would thrive with active owners who can match her energy level, and although she's good with dogs, she appreciates canine friends who mind their manners. Violet loves a good game of fetch and will spend hours in our kiddie pools if we let her. Violet is excellent in the car and a superb walking companion; she even enjoys a good run with her volunteer friends. She is sweet and cuddly but sometimes prone to over-excitement, so she would do best in a home with older children, if any. An owner with some dog experience, who can provide structure, rules, and a quiet home will be her perfect match. Meet Kinsley! Kinsley is about 4 months old. She was an owner surrender with 6 siblings. She is UTD on vaccines, including rabies vax, has a lifetime paid microchip and will be spayed through the rescue at a later date. Kinsley was much of a loner most of the time. She would sit next to the radiator and watch her siblings play, but the siblings started going after Kinsley and fighting with her and one day she decided to get back at them. Now Ms Kinsley plays with the best of them and then she gets back at them when they try to overpower her. She is not going to let that happen lol Kinsley has a mean ferocious bark and growl when she is in the crate and as soon as you open the door she is a different puppy. Kinsley is getting used to being outside and she will run around and play. She loves all kinds of toys esp. ropes If you give her one on one time she is a snuggler but will then play fight you. She is growing quick. She and her siblings are still looking for their furever homes. If anyone is interested in meeting her please contact the rescue for an application.
