Story
"Missing something? Sorry about that, it's probably in my crate! Promise it isn't chewed though, I just like to hide things in my bed! Hi! I'm Cirice! I have a confession to make... I like to hide everything in my bed! I don't chew things up, but I'll definitely snatch any interesting artifact I can find and stash it in my blankets. I get very silly and excited when my foster mom looks in my crate to see what treasures I have scavenged. Anything on the floor is fair game... mostly I collect toys, but I'll also pirate a slipper or flipflop now and then. That being said, I'm a very sensitive girl and if you catch me in the act and tell me 'no', I will never touch it again. I don't fully know what I'm allowed to have and what I'm not, but I don't like to disappoint my foster mom and I listen when she tells me to leave something alone. I am a 5 year old boxer. I was surrendered to Zoe's by a commercial breeder who was downsizing their kennel. Being in a home is all new to me, and sometimes I find it a bit overwhelming. I retreat to my crate when that happens. It helps me feel safe and my foster mom leaves the door open so I can come out when I'm ready. My foster home has other dogs, cats, rabbits, and I get along with everyone. I am shy at first, but my foster dog siblings boost my confidence. I love to follow them around. My foster mom has spent a lot of time with me to help me adjust to life in a family. New things can be very scary. She tells me how proud of me she is every day as my confidence grows. I love treats! I never say no to a pupperoni! I am a chunky gal, and my foster mom is helping me trim down with measured meals and gentle exercise. Leash walking isn't my favorite thing, but I do not pull. I am sensitive to loud noises and I do tend to startle easily. I am looking for a calm home where I can take my time adjusting to my new life, and learn what it means to be part of a family." Cirice is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. She is kept up to date on monthly parasite prevention. She is being fostered in southern Lancaster county PA and prospective families must be willing to come to her foster home twice. Once to meet her with all members of the family, including resident dogs, and once more to take her home. Although Cirice has never had a potty accident in her foster home, she is newly housebroken and accidents are normal in new environments. Ready to meet Cirice? Go online to www.zoeshouserescue.com and complete an adoption application! We do not always receive applications submitted through adoptapet or petfinder. Story
Palooka is a great dog. But he is need just a little more attention than our family can give him. The kids are going back to school and both parents are working full time now. He has lots of energy during the day and he is very snuggly in the evening (my favorite part). He is great with our kids and other dog. He is too curious for our cats to be comfortable with, and they let him know when he's too close. He loves meeting new people and can't wait to see you.

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.7/9/24 STILL AVAILABLE! 6/3/24 AkiraI'm a little late welcoming Akira to rescue because she's actually been with us for a little while. I finally got to meet her today and what a pleasant surprise! Photos do nothing to show how adorable and tiny she is. She is maybe 20 lbs. See the photo of her with the cat- shes not much bigger than him. Akira was dumped near tractor supply in Benton, AR a while back. She ran around the area, evading people for months. She was just scared to death. But one of our awesome volunteers was able to trap her a few weeks back. After she got past the initial fear of being trapped, she just gave in. And now her personality is really shining! This tiny girl is so friendly and sweet! Good with other dogs, good with kids but gets a little nervous with the toddler who visits, so older kids would probably be best. Great with cats as well! At about 2 years old, she is done growing and is about 20 bs. She is now fully vetted and heartworm negative.Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Sophie is a very, very sweet girl hoping to find a home soon! She is about 4.5-5 months old. We do not know her breed for sure, but Boxer mix? More than likely, she is a mix of several breeds...all American mutt! She is good with other dogs. She hasn't been around kids but she is very sweet and is just a baby, so we think she'd be just fine! Same for cats, she hasn't been around them but she is young so with supervision and training, she should be fine.  She is spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.   In New England.   To apply to adopt, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 8/11/24 Everyone, meet Waffles.   Photos make him look much larger than he really is. He is only about 10 lbs right now, and about 10 wks old. From their foster mom:   Waffles (purple collar) is an excellent, good boy! He's friendly and outgoing, usually the first to meet a new thing. So far, he does so calmly, with loose wags and minimal fuss. I'm encouraging this in everything - he is so far unbothered by our dogs, cats, and horses. He let's brother and sister clobber him, and he just rolls around and loves it. Occasionally, he clobbers them back!   He's learning how to sleep in a crate at night, how to potty outside, and how to greet without jumping up. He is sweet, smart, and pretty chill for a puppy. He is going to make someone an excellent family dogs! He is neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  He is good with cats, dogs, and kids.  Waffles' brother, Chicken, and sister Reba are also available.  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available.
