Story
Icarus is a stray cat that was found in a friend's basement, in St. Paul. There were many attempts to grab him using force, but the trick was to throw a few snacks in a cage and let him come by himself. Icarus is 3 years old, according to the vet. He is the sweetest stray cat, and at first was hard to believe that he didn't belong to a loving owner. He is easy to approach and loves anyone. A very gentle and loving guy! He sits in your lap and even uses his paws to tap you if he wants a rub. I hope to find a owner who will be able to take care of Icarus and be his forever home. It doesn't matter whether you are an expert cat parent, just be determined and dedicated to love this sweet cat.

Story
We rescued Boot about 2 years ago as a 1year old trained cat. She lost home and owner in a fire. She LOVES people and is so sweet. Never had her scratch or bite anyone. Good with our 2 big dogs. Unfortunately I have a new baby who is showing signs of allergy so boots has been locked in our basement and cries and breaks our heart❤️. She needs a new home and people who love her just as much as she loves you.

Story
Melody is a very sweet and affectionate gal! Melody is approximately 5 years old and would likely do better as the only cat in the home. As she has adjusted to her foster home, she has shown quite the personality. She loves receiving lots and lots of pets. She rubs against us and things in our home often. She is also quite vocal and talkative. She likes having “conversations.” She loves to be brushed, enjoys playing a little fetch! Melody enjoys looking out windows and climbing to high places in our home. She is also a big fan of scratching boards! At the end of a long day, Melody likes to snuggle up with you, either falling asleep on your back or chest, or somewhere on your pillow. Melody would love to join a home where she can receive lots of attention and be your companion! She allows me to trim her nails and can be picked up, though she prefers not to be carried. She is good around dogs and new people, as well. *More information and photos added over time. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/forms/ FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before a dog is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please fill out our application at http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/adopt/foster-application/ YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Visit this link http://legendsrescue.org/index.php/donate/ to donate

Story
Leila is a spunky, entertaining, and loveable cat! She is 2 years old. She is a very patient cat and is never aggressive. She gets along with children really well! Sometimes, she gets anxiety, but she overcomes it when given space. Leila gets lonely pretty easily, and it would be nice for her to have a cat companion. Due to my busy schedule, I won’t be able to take care of her. I want to find her a home that will be able to take care and love her!

Story
Finnegan is an 8 year old cat we adopted as a kitten. In the last two years she's become more stressed and anxious. For the last year and a half she's been on a daily dose of Prozac to aid in this. We believe her main stressor is our toddler, and with another baby in the way we feel it's best that she'd be happier in a home without children. She's never been overly affectionate, but will snuggle with her person occasionally. She loves jelly donuts and lunch meat treats. Finnegan would do well as an indoor/outdoor cat. She loves sunning herself on the deck and watching birds. She has been around the same dog since she was a kitten and only recently doesn't have the patience for being around large dogs. She also doesn't love when we have company over.
