Story
Comet is wonderful, but our family isn't able to give him the attention or exercise that he needs and deserves since we unexpectedly had twins in 2022. Comet is 4.5Y, 70lbs, healthy, goofy, smart, and loves people. He's crate, house, and leash trained. Comet went to a 3-week board and train program two years ago and knows all the fundamentals. He responds really well to verbal affirmation, e-collars (to minimize fence guarding in our backyard) and a prong collar for walking. He's not food possessive and tolerates our kids (18M twins and 3.5Y), giving a small warning growl or bark if they pull fur or corner/lay on him before removing himself from the situation. He lives with our senior dog and they play regularly and have never had significant issues. He's never lived with cats. Comet deserves daily exercise - one 30-60 minute walk or a short run (30 minutes) is great. He loves hiking. He doesn't like swimming and can be a bit fearful of new things.

Comet is wonderful, but our family isn't able to give him the attention or exercise that he needs and deserves since we unexpectedly had twins in 2022. Comet is 4.5Y, 70lbs, healthy, goofy, smart, and loves people. Based in Seattle, neutered, fully vaccinated. He's crate, house, and leash trained. Comet went to a 3-week board and train program two years ago and knows all the fundamentals. He responds really well to verbal affirmation, e-collars (to minimize fence guarding in our backyard) and a prong collar for walking. He's not food possessive and tolerates our kids (19M twins and 3.5Y), giving a small warning bark before removing himself from the situation. He lives with our senior dog and they play regularly. He can be reactive to some other dogs so will want to test out relationship first. He barks when excited (eating his food) and will fence guard against other dogs (we live in a house on a busy street) so if he was in a quieter area, that would likely be more ideal.

Story
Hi, I’m Chica,Hey, I caught you looking at my profile, that makes me happy. I am ready for my new forever home. I live with several dogs and cats now. I get along with all of them, but it is time for me to be with my own family. I am a pretty strong and active dog, I walk well on a leash but sometimes when I see something interesting I can pull on the leash. I am working on it, but some things are just so tempting. I love to be active, so if you are into hiking, jogging, or playing fetch we would get along great. My foster mom says I am the sweetest dog, but she might be biased. I do like to have fun and play with the other dogs, and I am good when I meet new people too. I am good on car rides, like to go to the beach, and love to be around my family. I will need some training so I can be the best dog ever, so if you have a little patience it would be great. My ideal family will be active. I imagine us going for long walks and exploring new trails and sniffing all the great scents there. I imagine playing in the backyard with older kids and then settling down for a nice nap in a warm bed. Wow, I can’t wait. If that sounds like we could be a match, then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Chica To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Darling Emma is not only beautiful, she is exceptionally gentle tempered. She appears to be about 7-8mo old and currently weighs 42lbs. We expect her to be about 50-55lbs when she’s full grown. Emma is a little timid, but she’s very eager to greet everyone she meets and put her head in their lap. She is a very curious girl that likes to take her time when on walks so she can leisurely explore all that is around her. She is doing wonderful with her leash training and she’s learning her basic commands and manners quickly. With a little more confidence, she’ll be a wonderful hiking partner, too. Emma is such a kind hearted girl, she would be an excellent addition to a family with kids over 6yrs old. She is doing excellent with her crate training and with regular potty breaks, she’s doing great with her house training, too. She gets along so great with dogs of all sizes, it would be great if she had a kind, confident dog in the home to play with and learn from. She can be very selective with her kitty pals so no cats in the home would be best. Emma must have a securely fenced yard and because of her young age, she should not be left along for more that 5-6hr intervals. If you would like to meet this very special girl please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.August 19, 2024, 11:27 am

Story
Age: 2 yearsWeight: 55 poundsLocation: FosterMeet Domino! She was found stray heavily pregnant and had 9 puppies February 12 in a loving foster home. When not on Mama duty, she enjoys running in the yard, playing fetch, carrying around toys in her mouth and being loved on by her foster family! She is a great family dog. She is 100% potty trained, is gentle and bonds quickly. She likes to stick close to home and enjoys a comfy couch, especially when she gets to snuggle with a family member! She needs work on jumping but is good on a leash or harness. She seems good with other dogs but has only been observed with the resident senior Chi. She has chased cats but is possibly just imitating what the other dog does . Due to her size and energy, she would be best in a home with older children. Domino is around 2 years old and weighs 55 pounds. She looks like a Catahoula Leopard dog, possibly mixed with Great Dane.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Meet Marbles! She’s a 11 week old female Catahoula leopard dog mix. She is a big girl that loves attention and sleep! She is quickly learning the crate and is doing well with her potty training! Marbles likes to play with the older dogs, but does appreciate attention from humans to get that affection! She will fit in great with any family, but her foster mom thinks she would be great first puppy for kids as she learns very fast and is pretty calm! Mom is a Catahoula mix and about 55 pounds. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Zoe! She is a beautiful, 3-year-old, 50 lb, Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who was surrendered by her owner as she could no longer keep her. She is a sweet girl who walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, takes treats gently and is housetrained. She would love a home with an active family who will keep her physically exercised. She can be reactive with other dogs when face-to-face and would do best as the only dog in the home. She would love a home with a securely fenced yard in a suburban or rural neighborhood where she can run around and get her zoomies out or chill out and relax. Zoe’s throat was crushed in a crate door when she was a puppy and she needs to be walked using a harness, no collars or slip leads. She has dealt with some megaesophagus but it is manageable. Zoe is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

These pups are in Seattle, Washington too!

Story
Welcome Skipper to CCPAL Rescue. Skipper is a 90-pound Ridgeback/Dane mix is our best guess. He is a mush to the people he knows and his breed is very loyal. He was adopted out as a tiny puppy and a year and a half later he was found on the streets skinny and with hair loss. He is now back at the rescue and he is doing great. He is friendly to all of us and very happy to see his friends. He didn’t jump up but he does pull on leash. I don’t think he got to do much leash work. He has an adorable widow’s peak. He would be great for a family who has a traveling father or someone not home. You could feel safe that Skipper would keep the family safe. He looks intimidating and has a big bark but very very gentle and goofy to those he loves. He has a low coat and not a big shedding dog. We would like someone who has worked with an extra-large breed or a Ridgeback. He will do good with a strong owner that is willing to work with him to give him direction and training. He is one of our favorites and we think he may be related to JJ who is also available at CCPAL. Skipper has been checked over by the vet and is in good health. He has been given a Bravecto and is growing hair and putting on weight here at the rescue. He would be a great partner for a jogger and due to his large size could definitely keep up with even a faster stride. He can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Meet Dublin and Tucker! Sweet Dublin  is a Shepherd/Rhodesian mix and is just coming up to 4 years old. He is a great dog who is so deserving of a loving home. He is best friends with Tucker, a mixed breed boy who is around 8 years old.  Sadly they lost their first home due to their owners moving, and now they are losing their second home for the same reason. They are good boys and would love to find a new home together. They are generally well behaved in the home and are crate trained. They are affectionate and friendly, though Dublin can at times be a little anxious. A home with a yard will be best for them. They have not lived with cats before.  They are vaccinated, chipped and neutered.  We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
