Story
Hi! I’m Joey and I’m a fabulous 14 year old senior gentleman. I don’t mean to brag, but I’m a very handsome red long-haired Chihuahua weighing just 10 lbs. I’m looking for my perfect family who will love me and provide me with a nice, quiet home in my golden years. I’m pretty happy with the simple things in life such as cuddling with my people, meal times and naps. I mean what else does one really need? If you’d like to run errands, I’m your man. I love to ride in the car and am the best little passenger you could ever have. Sometimes, though, I can get a little cranky when it comes to sharing my people with the other doggies. I would do well in a home where I’m the only dog, so the competition for mom or dad’s love won’t exist. Ideally, I would be pampered with attention in my golden years and not be subjected to youngsters, as that wouldn’t be so great for me or them. I would really love it if my new mom or dad would be at home with me more often than not, so I would not have to spend my days being left alone and crated. However, I don’t mind being crated for a couple of hours while my family runs errands. I know it might be asking a lot, but I do love sleeping in bed with foster mom at night and have become kinda spoiled, so a home that would continue to spoil me in that way would make me so happy. I’m working on potty training … let’s say I’m a work in progress. As I came from a puppy mill situation, I was not taught this skill as a young puppy, but I’m working on it now. I do have one small issue with my eyes called chronic dry eye which requires daily medication for the rest of my life. I am really very good about taking my medication for this so it is not a big deal. I am a lovable and sweet little man and would make a wonderful companion. I’m up to date on all my shots, am heartworm negative, on heartworm and flea preventative, neutered, microchipped, and de-wormed. Joey’s adoption fee is $250. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you’re interested in having Joey as a part of your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Meet Todd! Todd is a 1 year old chihuahua/terrier mix, weighs 10 lbs. and is the sweetest, most loving, little guy. He would do well in a home with at least one other active and small dog (20 pounds or less), younger people (no toddlers or babies) and adults. He has a good amount of energy and likes to receive a lot of attention from his family. He also likes to play outside, therefore a fenced-in yard is a requirement. He is also learning to walk on a leash and would enjoy a daily walk to do his business. He sleeps in a large crate at night, but loves to be out and about during the day. He loves, loves, loves to sit in your lap and give kisses. He likes to vocalize his enthusiasm, and probably wouldn’t be the best candidate for apartment living. He has completed his checkup with the vet, and is ready to find his new family. He does have crystals in his urine, which are being monitored, and needs to have prescription food. Todd is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s also microchipped and dewormed. Todd’s adoption fee is $350. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little fella to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Hi, I’m Tango! I’m an 8 year old Terrier mix, weigh 12 lbs, and am a quiet little guy. My owner passed away, so I’m just staying to myself, trying to make sense of everything. I crave attention and love, and really like it when my foster mom sits and talks to me and loves on me, but I’m not really much of a lapdog. If I’m in her lap, it’s only for a brief moment and then I’m gone again. I sleep in a large crate at night, with lots of blankets and stuffed animals. I snuggle in and sleep quietly through the night. I’m enjoying chewing on bully sticks and other chewies, and playing with toys that make noise or have squeakers in them. I do like to go outside, and foster mom says that I’m a “work in progress” with my potty training. I get along well with other dogs (small dogs 20 lbs. or less), and would do well in a home with or without doggies. I do tend to vocalize quite loudly when playing, and might not do well in an apartment setting. I would do well in a home with younger people (no toddlers or babies) and adults. I would enjoy walks, and as long as I’m walked frequently and monitored on a leash, I do not require a fence. Please don’t leave me unsupervised outside; I would want your attention all the time. Since my owner passed away, I need someone who is going to re-teach me some of the rules about going potty, learning to snuggle with the family, you know…all that stuff. Tango is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. He’s had a dental, is microchipped and dewormed. Tango’s adoption fee is $300. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS. Out of state adopters are responsible for arranging transport. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. If you're looking for a very sweet and lovable little guy to join your family, please fill out an application on AAP’s website.

Story
Tiny is a 1.5 year-old bundle of love wrapped in a tiny, cuddly package. She’s the perfect mix of affectionate and calm, always happiest when snuggled up next to her favorite person. Unlike the typical yappy Chihuahua stereotype, Tiny is quiet and well-mannered, making her an ideal companion for a peaceful home. Tiny would do best as an only dog or a quite K9 friend in the house. friends, but she’s Tiny is a little clingy- she loves to be near her humans as much as possible. Potty trained and well-behaved, Tiny is an easy addition to any loving home looking for a devoted, gentle companion. Whether its cuddling or following you from room to room, Tiny is always by your side ready to shower you with unconditional love! I would be best in a home with kids 5 and up. Tiny is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. Tiny’s adoption fee is $350.00. Story
Hello! I am Bobo, a 12 week old chihuahua/rat terrier mix. My foster family tells me I am the perfect mix of playfulness and sweetness. I love other people and dogs. I know that cats live here, but they don't interest me. I just leave them alone. I love to run and play with my family and pack. I can be a bit timid of other dogs at first, but not because I am scared. I am just a little guy and want to know where I fit in the pack. I am a quick learner too! My family says I learned to navigate the house and respond to my name right away. I am working very hard on my potty training and I will get the hang of this very, very soon! I don't mind a crate, but haven't caused any damage if I am not in one. I love to snuggle with my family and snooze on their necks. In fact, my family says I am equally in love with all of them. I don't have one person I prefer. I want to cuddle and play with the whole family. My foster family says some family is going to be so lucky to adopt me. BoBo is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, on heartworm preventative, de-wormed, and microchipped. BoBo’s adoption fee is $375.00. Story
Baby Bat embodies the personality, uniqueness and likeness of the Batman. First, he works alone. No sidekicks or partners. He prefers solitude and his space. Baby Bat has lived with his foster and her dog pack for 5 years, he gets along with them but tolerates them at most. He would do well in a home where he is the only dog, no children, and adults only. Next, Baby Bat is an apex predator. Which means he needs his sleep and food and not to be interrupted or coddled when given either. Baby Bat is not a lap or cuddly dog. Finally, did we mention Baby Bat is a Chihuahua mix? That's a really important detail! Baby Bat is a great and loyal dog seeking a great family to adopt him! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
This is Buddy, and he can't wait to be yours! Buddy is a sweet young Chihuahua mix that started life off as a feral, until he was caught by a sweet and loving foster. Buddy got the good life after that! Spoiled with treats and given so much love he's developed into a great dog. He's a very friendly boy and does great with pretty much everyone. He would do best in a household with an active family. Buddy does tend to bark at smaller animals so he would do best in a household that doesn't have farm animals or other small pets. Dogs and cats he is fine with, though he has not had much experience with cats. Buddy would do well paired with another calm and confident dog. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Ready for a new friend? Meet Honey! Honey is a sweet dog, just like her name she is oozing with affection and love. She is a very medium/small sized beagle/chi mix, she is housebroken and likes to let people know when she needs to go out by pawing at your legs. Loves to cuddle with you, she can be a velcro dog sometimes and will make your couch her permanent home!. Honey doesn't like to share her affection with others and is adoptable into a single dog/animal home. She does tolerate the foster mom's kitties but honestly she would really love to be the center of someone's life. She has MORE than enough love and devotion to fill your heart every day. She is crate trained. She loves to sleep in the bed too! If you are looking for the yin to your yang, the bread to your jam or the pup to your life... HONEY is the ONE!!!! Story
Pinky and the Brain I am the Brain, the other half of this dynamic duo, and I am happy to be alive!! You see, the reason I say that is because at the end of January, we were found in a box behind an apartment building in a neighboring city and we didn’t have a measurable temperature. It took a little bit, or a lot of warming to get us both to “wake up” so to speak. They thought I was dead at first. We both got a lot of fluids through needles in our legs, and lots of nutritious stuff in there too but we were unstable until we got to our foster mommy at Gods Dogs. She worked with us and gave us lots of love and care, even though we were skinny and didn’t have much life in us at first. It took time for us to get so skinny and in bad shape and it took weeks for us to get better too. Fast forward to today. Pinky is spayed already, and is ready to find her forever home. I would like to have a home with my sister Pinky, because we have always been together, but I know it isn’t always possible. I must wait until March 10th to get neutered as I has a wonky eye that probably has to be removed. Otherwise, I am fully recovered from my experience and am a great guy to play with. If you want to adopt me, I am a small guy chihuahua mix who shouldn’t be more than 15 pounds tops. Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
