Story
(DOB 07/15/2021) Fawn is a delightful 27-pound Chihuahua-Whippet mix with a personality as unique as her breed combo! This sweet girl may start off a bit shy, but don’t let that fool you—once she’s comfortable, she’ll melt your heart with her affectionate nature and gentle spirit. Fawn is the ideal companion for someone looking for a sensitive, loving dog who thrives on attention and affection. Her breed mix brings out the best of both worlds: the playful, energetic side of a Chihuahua combined with the sleek elegance and calm demeanor of a Whippet. Fawn loves to be around people, especially kids. In fact, she has a special fondness for little boys and will shower them with hugs, kisses, and all the cuddles they can handle. She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely adores cats—making her a great fit for a multi-pet household. When she’s not snuggling up to her favorite humans, Fawn enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's going for a leisurely walk, chasing after squeaky toys, or just soaking up the sunshine. She’s a fantastic car companion, always up for a road trip or a quick Starbucks run with you. Fawn is also a smart cookie! She knows all the basics—sit, stay, shake—and is a model pup in the house. Not only is she crate-trained, but her impeccable manners mean she’s just as happy being left uncrated as long as she’s with her family. No chewing or destruction here; just a sweet, well-behaved girl who loves to be a part of your everyday life. If you’re looking for a snuggly, intelligent companion who will quickly become the center of your world, Fawn is ready to bring joy and affection into your home! As part of Fawn’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Fawn, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.   ##2163148##

*** AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY AND ALSO ON-SITE ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** *Adoption fee waived for previous Saving Grace adopter* Lucky wants you to know that he feels very lucky to be part of Saving Grace but will feel even more lucky if you decided to make him yours. Lucky is a senior boy who says he has more years of love to give and all he asks for in return is a lap to snuggle on and a bed to sleep on at night. He loves to snuggle all day with his person and sleeps in his bed on the floor at night. Lucky has not had any accidents while in foster. He enjoys exploring outdoors when the weather is nice but prefers short strolls and lots of relaxing time. He may be a bit timid at first with new people, but he warms up fast to loving hands. He is ready to find his forever home in his senior years. Will you be the lucky winner?

Story
Nardo (aka Mr. Torts, Nardolini and Sweet Boy) came into my life when I was living in NYC. He’s since settled into the Southern lifestyle, but was first a city boy. I rescued him from death row at a kill shelter and try everyday to make his life beautiful, fun and each day better than the last. We think he was previously surrendered due to a biting incident with a baby, and he has come with some PTSD and anxiety throughout the years. While he has his moments where he can snap, we’ve been without an incident in just under a year! Trust and stability are key with Nardo. He’s a total pack dog and loves being around his people, but like a cat where he needs his personal space. Definitely better in a home without kids, cats or other dogs. Sunshine, tennis balls and long walkies are his love language!! Rehoming Nardo is the toughest decision we’ve had to make since he is TRULY the sweetest boy, but with a baby on the way, this is the best outcome for both our baby and Nardo!

Story
I am rehoming my 3yr old Chihuahua he is wary of strangers and will take awhile to warm up to you but after that he is a very sweet playful dog full of energy. He doesn’t mind relaxing and sleeping in your lap but I would say he prefers playing. He is great with kids very gentle but he does jump a lot so be mindful of that if you have little kids. He is neutered. He will need his annual check up. I have all his vet records. I will send him home with his cage, leash, dog bowl, and his clothes. I do have a cat that he gets along with and a dog but slow intros with your pets if you have any. I chose to rehome him instead of my other dog because he would be the easier one to rehome due to him not being reactive like my other dog. I cannot afford 2 dogs unfortunately so that is the reason I am rehoming one, yes it is very irresponsible on my part but things happen and l’ve made the difficult decision to rehome one of my pets.

Story
Truffle and Biscuit were surrendered to our rescue after living with their family for 12 years. They decided having human children was more important than hanging on to this bonded pair, so we are eager to find a family for them who CHOOSE them til the very end! They are good with dogs, have had recent dentals, they are snuggly and loving - typical Chis! To apply for these 12 year old siblings, please go to apply.neshamarescue.org
