Story
Breena would do best with a patient female adopter. She was born on October 24. 2022. She is fearful of strangers, especially men. Will snuggle with her person once she gets used to you and can be very loving to her person. Not recommended for family with young children. She had her 1st vaccines but is due for boosters. She will use pee pads but has never been around carpet so may confuse it for pee pads. I have had Breena since birth and also have her sisters Treena and Silvey that I would like to rehome but have not put them on this site yet. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Story
Luna's Story: We adopted Luna, a Chihuahua-Papillon mix (Chion) about three years ago. She is around 6 or 7 years old. Luna spent the first three years of her life in a cage, unsocialized, which has shaped her strong and sometimes challenging personality. Luna does have some aggression issues when meeting new people and dogs, but she adjusts once she gets to know them. She currently lives with children and does well with our family. She also shares a home with a Bouvier and a Pit Bull mix, and she has no issues with them. However, Luna cannot be in the same room as another of our dogs; they simply do not get along, and their interactions have become increasingly dangerous. We are looking for a new home where Luna can be in a calm, structured environment. She would do best with an experienced owner who is patient, understanding, and able to give her the consistent care and attention she needs. Luna is fiercely loyal and spirited. While she has her quirks, she can be a sweet companion.

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Margarita! Margarita is about 3 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. We think she is a Chihuahua Mix (just a guess). Margarita came to us from a hoarding situation where she was living in filth along with 40 other dogs. Margarita is very shy and unsure of life in her foster home right now, but she is getting better slowly. Margarita is doing well walking on leash and learning what is means to be a companion to her foster family. Margarita is working on house training and right now she enjoys just chilling in her dog bed in a puppy pen. Margarita is great with other dogs, but she is not a playmate. Margarita is used to being around dogs and will require another dog in her forever home as a companion. As of right now, Margarita would do best in a home that is calm and quiet all adult home. She will require a consistent schedule so will need a home where someone is around a good portion of the day. Margarita is spayed, she is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Manolo! Manolo is about 5 1/2 months old and about 15 lbs and came to us from Puerto Rico. Our best guess on his breed mix is a Chi/Terrier mix. We have no idea how big this puppy will be full grown Manolo is a very sweet boy who is playful and loves to explore. Manolo loves to play with the resident dog in his foster home and will require another young dog in his forever home. Manolo enjoys playing with squeaky toys and wearing sweaters to keep him warm - lol. Manolo also enjoys going for walks:) Manolo is about 95% house trained and working on his crate training. Manolo will require the adopter to be at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be neutered at the age of 6 months. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. A refundable spay/neuter deposit will be added to the adoption fee for puppies and kittens. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many!
