Story
Little Homie is a 7 year old chi mix currently living in a foster home. He lives with two other dogs and seems like he does fine with any other dogs he meets. He is also pretty independent and isn't really interested in playing with other dogs. He’s a sensitive guy, so he can be pretty reactive to noises he hears from outside, dogs barking, etc. He is definitely a more vocal dog and likes to bark so would need a home that was understanding of that and willing to work with him on it. He is about 90-95% potty trained. His foster home has a dog door that he’s learned to use but still has an accident in the house maybe once every few weeks. It may be that he just doesn’t like going out in the rain!. His foster home doesn’t have any cats so we're unsure if he's cat friendly. He likes to chase the one that visits the backyard but may just be taking a cue from the other dogs in the house that do so. Homie takes a bit to warm up to new people but he definitely likes attention and love. We are still working on the leash training as he’s a bit chaotic on leash (darting around and quite excited). He seems to do well being left alone at night/doesn’t particularly have any separation anxiety and does well at the vet. He’s never shown any aggression with people or other dogs, the most he will do is just bark in warning to call attention to them. He’s quite a fast runner and has a fair amount of energy so would be happy being an active dog. Homie would love to find a home where someone is patient with his sensitive soul, he has a lot of love to give!If you are intersted in adopting Little Homie, please email adoption@columbiahumane.org for additional information and an adoption application. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgAugust 19, 2024, 7:00 am

My adoption fee is $600 Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.
