Story
Roscoe is a handsome 2-year-old Collie mix who is spending time in a foster home and doing well. He enjoys getting out for walks and hikes and loves playing fetch. He is a very loving dog who adores his people. He is a big (70 lbs.), goofy guy who needs obedience training, so we think he would do best in a home with older kids. He prefers not to spend too much time alone and doesn't like being in a crate, so he would probably do best with someone who works from home or is around a lot. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months – 7 years is $500. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Story
Meet Ruby, an adorable collie/shepherd mix with the cutest brown goggles. Ruby is an all-or-nothing puppy—she’s either in full play mode or enjoying a nap. Incredibly smart, Ruby picks up on things quickly. She loves kids and would thrive in a home with other animals, as she doesn’t like to be left alone. If you’re looking for a playful and loving addition to your family, Ruby is the perfect match! If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Story
Meet Flapjack! You'll never meet a sweet older gentleman. Flapjack is about ten or eleven years old, he's a collie mix, and he weighs about 53lbs. He's good with other dogs, with cats, and with kids 8+. He's such a friendly, sunshine-y guy that is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face every single day!Despite his age, Flapjack is full of energy! Balls are his favorite. He'll bounce along with them and is an expert at playing fetch. He's always happy and loves coming over for pets, love, and attention. He's not some fragile old man either! He's got a decently strong pull on a leash, especially when he's curious about something. Flapjack is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped! He does have some skin allergies that we're working on right now.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.
