Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application! Handsome Beau is a typical active puppy. He enjoys playing with toys with others and by himself. He equally loves the company of people and dogs. Beau’s foster mom presumes he will be good with kids once he has settled down after meeting them. He gets along well with the resident dogs in his foster home. He is curious about cats and likes to chase, but there is one cat in the household who has Beau’s number. When Beau is crated and can’t give chase, the cat likes to stroll past the crate, which drives Beau crazy. Otherwise, though curious and playful with cats, he knows to stop and back away if they raise their paw. He also enjoys meeting other dogs. Beau is spooked by loud noises so would prefer a home where that doesn’t happen often. He isn’t much of a snuggler since he has that puppy energy. He does like to play outside, so Beau would like someone who enjoys playtime. Beau also requests that his forever family get a Kong and fill it with peanut butter for him–it’s one of his most favorite things.  Beau is being fostered with his sister, Samantha. Story
To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application! Samantha is a beauty of a collie pup. Even though she is still in her first year, she’s good with older children after the first few minutes of excitement. She prefers playing outside to burn off that puppy enthusiasm and prefers playing with the other dogs in the house to playing with toys on her own. Her brother, Beau, is currently being fostered in the same home. Samantha does get along well with cats, though she does like to chase them. However, she “yields to the cat paw” as her foster mom put it. When meeting someone new, Samantha is a tad cautious but friendly. Samantha likes her food and treats so is easily motivated. She learns quickly from watching the resident dogs. Samantha is full of love and joy. She is currently waiting to meet her forever family. (Samantha is being fostered with her brother, Beau.) Story
Stella has lots to say about herself and who better to tell us a little something about her: “Don’t let my old school name fool you! I am a 21 st century Collie! I admit, I am a goofy girl but beyond smart as Collies are supposed to be right?! Playing and being sinistrally silly is my jam. I am beyond my puppyhood pranks but I still like to act like a youngster – in a good way, of course! My beauty, well, if I do say so myself…speaks for itself!! I am ready to roll if you want to be my rock!! We shall have the best times, I promise! Just look for me, Stella, and put your application in soon!” Stella is truly the quintessential Collie girl. Her only challenge is with the felines who just don’t agree with her spunk (they are likely jealous of her beauty!). Stella would make an excellent sport dog or agility/rally as she truly has a knack for it. A fence would be ideal so she can show off all her moves and run to her hearts content. If Stella strikes your fancy and you are ready to help her continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don’t wait! And if Stella isn’t your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Please visit https://tristatecollierescue.org/how-to-adopt/ to complete the adoption application. Stella is being fostered in Ohio If you are interested in this dog; and wish additional information, you MUST submit an application on our website. Once we receive your application, an interviewer will call you and try to answer any additional questions you may have. In order to continue our rescue efforts and help more dogs, we require an adoption donation ranging from $75 - $500, depending on the age, breed and the expenses incurred on the individual dog. Our application can be found at http://www.tristatecollierescue.org/ under the adopt tab. Thank you

Story
Maggie is a spritely, sassy super senior! Happy to mix it up with her foster pack and enjoys long walks. She can catch and fetch a ball (unusual for our Collie friends) and hop into the back of an SUV without issue. Maggie likes to let everyone know who’s the boss and who could blame her – she has earned that right! She can be vocal and opinionated but affectionate and calm and likes to let you know if you’re not paying her enough attention. Maggie enjoys keeping her people in sight and if you don’t know where she is, she’s probably lying quietly behind you. This gorgeous light mahogany gal acts much younger than her 10 years and does have some arthritis setting in but it surely does not slow her down. She gets on with other dogs and truly loves everyone. An owner surrender who could no longer keep her due to their serious health challenges, Maggie was very loved and well cared for and it shows. Maggie is being fostered in Georgia If Maggie strikes your fancy and you are ready to give her a soft landing to continue to be the best Collie citizen ever, please fill out an adoption application today! Don't wait! And if Maggie isn’t your cup of tea, we have many more Collies of all ages coming in weekly. Story
Ozzie was abandoned when his owners moved away. Ozzie is a mild tempered dog that loves being with his humans. He loves walks, playing with his toys and really loves his treats. He is crate trained, but he has a little separation anxiety. We believe this will subside when he gets a forever home, he just prefers humans right now. He is friendly with other dogs. He is doing good on leash but does get distracted occasionally. He likes to play, then cuddle up on the couch. Can Ozzie be your couch potato friend? For more info or to apply to adopt, fill out the application on our site at pawsomeanimalwelfare.com Adoption includes all up to date vaccines, microchip and neuter.
