Story
Nadia is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Collie mix. She is friendly and affectionate though she can be a little shy initially in new situations. She loves being around her people. She is house trained on a schedule and crate trained. She has lived in a home with teenagers and loves them. She enjoys playing with the neighborhood dogs. She is a submissive gal, we recommend a meet and greet if there is an existing dog in the home. She knows the sit command. Meet and greets are by appointment only. She has L1/L2 hemivertebra, which is not bothering her but it’s important that she maintains her healthy weight of 30 pounds. Adoption fee is waived for this pup, however, submitting the online application and being approved is required. This pup is microchipped. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ and return it per instructions. Story
Vince is a six year old collie boy, with a beautiful sable coat, and he is quickly learning how to enjoy life!  When he came into Collie Rescue, he was about 15 lbs underweight, did not understand how to play, and wasn't really sure what steps were.  Vince has come such a long way!  He now has a very healthy appetite and has filled out nicely. He loves to run and play, and has quite a bit of energy.  He'll need some leash training, since he will pull and bark when he sees other dogs on a walk.  Vince follows his foster family everywhere -- super eager to please others and be close to people who care for him.  He is super-sweet, but he can also  be a bit of a spaz when he gets excited!  Vince is a great dog who deserves a wonderful home!If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Our standard adoption fee is $450. This fee helps us to cover (and sometimes only partially cover) the expense of providing each dog with a Health Exam, Rabies/DHPP vaccines, Heartworm Test, Heartworm Preventative, Flea & Tick Protection, Microchip, Neuter/Spay, a Bath and any other medical needs.  Thank you for your consideration in adopting a collie in need!!! Story
Check out our courageous Titan!  He’s a rough collie born in March 2023 with a gorgeous caramel coat and a classic white mane.  True to his name, Titan is a tall, lean, and athletic guy who weighs about 64 pounds.  Like an athlete, he has a long stride and loves to race around, sprinting across the backyard in pursuit of acrobatic squirrels.  He is not a big barker and is learning how to retrieve.  Titan is a very active pup - always in motion and loves to run.  As playful as he is, he’s also a relaxed and sweet boy. He is currently in a foster home where he enjoys the companionship of two other collies. Titan is also best friends with a one-year-old German shorthaired pointer in the neighborhood.  They play hard every day.  For this reason, Titan would be happiest in a home with another energetic dog to play with.  Having a big yard to stretch out and run would be a bonus! Titan enjoys long hikes in the woods, walks nicely on a leash, and looks forward to meeting new people along the way.  He did not have a lot of people in his early life, so he can be a little wary when meeting new people, but still remains calm and inquisitive.  But once he adjusts, he is great and super friendly!  He carries himself with confidence, but is never aggressive. Around his foster home, his favorite spot is on the sofa where it is comfortable and nearby a window where he can easily check out the neighborhood activity.  He enjoys soft squeaky toys, and you'll have to watch him around socks and small plush toys. Ideally, he would do well in a home with older children rather than very young children.  Titan is not a cuddler, but he loves companionship and follows his foster mom everywhere.  Titan is thoroughly housebroken and crate-trained. Please take a look at his sweet photos and let us know if you're interested in adopting sweet Titan!  If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
Bea was born in February 2023, so is about 18 months old.  She has a thick, full, sable coat and is just now learning about the world.   This sweet girl has had a rough start.  As a puppy, her original owner got very sick so she spent most of her time alone in the kitchen, relying on family and friends to come over once a day to feed her and take her out.    Now she is in a foster home, and Initially, she was somewhat anxious about being in the new environment.  It took a few weeks, but she started to relax, slowly got used to things, and to trust her people.  When meeting new people, Bea does not like to be approached but she’ll slowly come to sniff and check them out – on her own terms.  When something “new” is introduced to her environment, she does get anxious and a bit barky.  For that reason, we are looking for a quieter environment for Miss Bea.   Bea is very docile in the house.  She finds her spot to watch things, snooze or just work on her bone. Out in the backyard, she’s looking for squirrels or chasing her ball.  She’s just learning how to walk on leash, meet other dogs, and see the world.  She’s crate trained and rides very well in the car. Be sure to check out the video of Bea running and playing in the backyard! If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire. Story
Cheddar is a beautiful smooth, sable collie who was born on June 23, 2020.  He's an easy-going, sweet collie boy who gets along well with other dogs and really loves people -- following them from room to room to check out what they are doing.  He'd love to find an active household, where there is plenty of things to observe and to help keep up with his energy level. He is neutered, housebroken, and walks well on a leash without pulling. Luckily, loud noises like trucks and lawn equipment don't seem to bother him.  Cheddar is goofy and playful, and likes to cuddle up with his humans on the couch!  Could you be his forever family?  Check out his pictures and contact Collie Rescue, Inc. if you are interested in adopting this cool guy!If you are interested in rescuing a collie, please complete this short adoption questionnaire.
