Meet Mama Nelly!
Say hello to Nelly, a darling 2-3yr old 14lb Dachshund-Chihuahua mix who’s as sweet as she is adorable! This beautiful, long, low, black-coated girl came to us from Fresno after a kind family rescued her as a stray. They had no idea she was pregnant, and just days later, she surprised them with six gorgeous puppies! Nelly was a fantastic mama, and now that her puppies are ready for homes of their own, it’s her turn to find her happily ever after.
Nelly is a true sweetheart—dog-friendly (both big and small), kid-friendly, and an absolute cuddle bug. While she enjoys playful moments, she’s happiest as a lap companion, soaking up all the love and affection she can get. She loves sunbathing, rolling in the grass, car rides, and, of course, snuggling up with her people.
Nelly is house-trained, food-motivated, and eager to please. She’s ready for a family or person to call her very own—a home where she can finally relax and enjoy being pampered.

To begin the adoption process, please submit an application using the link below. Our team will carefully review it to determine if you are a suitable match for the dog you are interested in. If deemed a good fit, the foster parent will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet or seek additional information.
In the event your application isn't accepted or might be a better fit for another dog, we will provide feedback and suggest alternative matches. Your application remains active for 90 days, allowing consideration for other dogs in our care. Simply email us if there is another dog you would like your application to be applied to.

All our dogs undergo comprehensive vetting, including spaying/neutering, microchipping, DHPP, flea treatment, deworming, and Rabies vaccinations. Additional vet care is provided as needed based on their requirements. The adoption fee for this dog is $450 serving as a non-refundable donation. Adoption fees may vary based on factors such as vetting costs, transport, and age.
