Story
Meet Traveler! Traveler is about 5 years old, 12 lbs, and he likely has some dachshund in his mix! Traveler was confiscated from a hoarding situation. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house-training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, and other small dogs. He has not been exposed to cats.He is pretty nervous on walks and can bark a lot at outside noises so no apartments, please! His foster says, `Meet Traveler! This sweet, quirky boy has a heart as big as his personality. Rescued from a tough situation where he was left outside in freezing weather, Traveler is now looking for a home where he can truly be loved and pampered. Traveler is a playful, silly soul who loves his toys and enjoys lounging with his favorite humans (though he’s not a fan of kisses). He adores dogs his size and would thrive in a home with at least one canine companion. Traveler is crate trained, mostly housebroken, and well-behaved with older kids. His playful barking is his way of keeping you aware of any visitors or nearby dogs, but it’s just part of his endearing nature.`He is available for adoption in Worcester, MA by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
🐾 Meet Mickey! 🐾This adorable 2-year-old Dachshund boy isn’t just sweet — he’s got the cutest spots that make him look like a little baby cow! 🐄💕Mickey is full of love and personality. He’s super affectionate, fearless, and would be the perfect sidekick for a family that enjoys going places and doing fun things! He’s always up for an adventure, even though he was born blind due to a neurologic condition (confirmed by a recent neurologist visit). The great news? His blindness isn’t painful and won’t get any worse as he grows.Mickey does have one non-negotiable: he needs to be the only dog in the home. He’s protective of his food around other dogs (but totally fine with humans!) and isn’t a fan of cats — in fact, he can sniff one out from a mile away.If you’re looking for a loving, brave little companion and you’ve got a pet-free home, Mickey might just be your perfect match!💌 Interested in giving Mickey the forever home he deserves? Story
***seeking Foster-to-Adopt*** Meet Wally – 25 pounds of love and loyalty, wrapped in a handsome brindle coat. 🐶💕 At 12 years young, Wally is the ultimate cuddle connoisseur. His favorite hobbies include: ✅ Following his human like a very short, very hairy bodyguard ✅ Requesting (demanding?) belly rubs with zero shame ✅ Wiggling onto the couch like he pays rent there ✅ Being absurdly cute at all times Don’t let his recent foot surgery fool you – this little guy is still trotting around like he’s auditioning for a puppy parkour team. He will need his stitches out in about a week (from today 4/17/25). He also needs a dental, but don’t worry – he's available for a foster-to-adopt situation, so you can fall in love while he finishes his glow-up. 🦷✨ Wally is mostly house trained (he's trying, okay?) and gets along great with other dogs. Just a few oopsies here and there – cut the man some slack, he’s 12 and just had foot surgery! So if you're looking for a snuggle shadow who thinks belly rubs are a constitutional right, Wally’s your guy. Bonus: he’s part Dachshund, part Border Terrier, and 100% your next best friend. If you are interested in finding out more about Wally, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Wally is being fostered in Clinton, MA. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Adoption Donation   $   499            Located:    MS     (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx   4-5   years old     Weight: 25  lbs Sista is ready for her new home! She finished weaning her babies and now her puppies & her are ready to start a better journey!  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) reserves the right to deny any adoption application with or without disclosure of cause. Your adoption fee helps to cover the cost of all age appropriate vetting and transportation. FOHARI.ORG makes no explicit or implicit guarantees in reference to the health, temperament and/or the breed of the animal. The animal is adopted ‘as is’, and the adopter assumes all responsibility for treatment of any and all existing conditions or any other conditions of physical or temperament changes that may occur. FOHARI.ORG will provide the animal with the basic vaccines, heart worm test and sterilization of dogs and cats before adoption if the age and current health of the animal permits. While FOHARI.ORG makes every effort to place only healthy animals, FOHARI.ORG cannot guarantee the health of any animal, and shall not be held responsible for any medical expenses that may be incurred. Rescuer will provide information received from the veterinarian exam, observations on the temperament of the animal and a best guess of the breed. Friends of Homeless Animals Inc.
