You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dixie – The Sweet Southern Belle! Dixie is a charming 2-4-year-old Doberman mix from Louisiana, weighing in at just 48 pounds—making her a pint-sized version of the classic Doberman! This lovely girl is housebroken, crate trained, and eager to please her people. She’s also a world-class snuggler who thrives on love and attention. One of the wonderful perks of adopting a Doberman mix like Dixie is the possibility of enjoying the breed's amazing qualities without some of the health concerns often seen in purebred Dobermans. This can mean more years of love and companionship with fewer vet visits. Dixie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and ready to start her next chapter with a family who will cherish her. Her smaller size, combined with her sweet and loyal nature, makes her the perfect fit for almost any home. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who’s big on love but small in stature, Dixie might just be your perfect match. Apply to adopt this southern belle today and let her bring some extra love into your life! Story
New to DRM, stay tuned for more info!!New to Doberman Rescue Minnesota.  Meet Major, the newest addition to the DRM family - a ridiculously handsome 1-year-old fawn boy with a personality that's equal parts sass and fun. As a large, energetic breed, he needs a family that can keep up with his antics and provide endless opportunities for exercise, mental stimulation, and snacks - lots and lots of snacks. He will need to be fueled with a high quality and nutrient dense diet to keep his weight and skin & coat healthy and in check.  Oh, and did we mention he has a bit of separation anxiety? But don't worry, we're working on it, and with the right foster family, he'll learn to chill in no time. Major loves people, but he's not exactly kid-delicate - he's a bit too bouncy for little ones. He gets along with other dogs, cats, goats, and horses, but he can be a bit too eager to play, so he needs a family that can teach him some boundaries. He's housebroken, crate-trained, and loves puzzles - but don't leave him in his crate for too long, or he might get a little impatient and start pawing at the door.  Major has some basic training under his belt, and he's super food-motivated, so training him is a breeze. He's not a fan of being left alone in the car, but he won't destroy anything - he just gets a little anxious. And let's be real, this guy is a total attention hog - he just wants to spend all day with his favorite human. This fabulous foster is a Doberman Rescue Minnesota foster dog. Please read all adoption steps and policies carefully on our website. http://dobermanrescueminnesota.com/adoption-steps/ Qualified adopters are within the approved adoption area, and Adopter will be requested to visit this foster dog at the foster family home. Our foster families are generally located within a 250 mile radius of Minneapolis, MN. All DRM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, 4DX tested, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention. January 7, 2025, 7:45 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Ahoy, Matey! Meet Captain The Doberman! Come meet 2-year-old Captain in person at the Woodbury Chuck & Don’s Meet and Greet on January 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you’re looking for a first mate who’s fun, lovable, and always ready for adventure, Captain’s your guy. Anchors aweigh—let’s find this sweet boy his forever home! Aye, aye, Captain! This 2-year-old handsome Doberman is ready to sail into your heart and drop anchor forever! Captain is currently living his best life in a foster home with another male dog and has even rubbed noses (and paws) with kitties—both the four-legged kind and their human Kiddies counterparts. He’s fully vetted and ready to go, but fair warning: this sweet guy has energy levels that rival a ship in full sail! Active home will be required and breed experience per the request of Captain himself! Captain spent far too much time cooped up in a crate in his past life, so now he’s making up for lost time with lots of playing, running, and zooming! While he could use a little obedience work to polish his skills, his playful nature and charm will have you saying, “All aboard!” If you’re looking for a first mate who’s fun, lovable, and always ready for adventure, Captain’s your guy. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Arlo’s Journey to a Better Life Arlo’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. This 4-year-old Doberman was surrendered to a kill shelter in a state of severe neglect—emaciated, dehydrated, and too weak to stand on New Years Eve, 2024. After being rescued and rushed to an emergency vet by UDR volunteers, Arlo is now receiving the lifesaving care he so desperately needs. But Arlo’s journey is far from over. While his physical wounds will heal with time, he also needs love, patience, and stability to recover fully. As we work to restore his health and spirit, we’re asking for your help to sponsor Arlo’s journey to his forever home. By becoming Arlo’s sponsor, you will play a vital role in covering his ongoing care, including medical treatment, nutritious food to help him regain strength, and resources for his eventual adoption. Sponsorship allows us to give Arlo everything he needs to thrive while ensuring we can continue rescuing dogs like him. The inital vet bills for UDR were over $2000, and he is still not out of the woods yet.  Once Arlo has fully healed and regained his strength, he will be available for adoption, ready to start a new chapter as a cherished member of a loving family. Your sponsorship ensures he gets the best possible care in the meantime. Your support also includes updates on Arlo’s progress, so you can witness his transformation from a neglected, starved dog to a happy, healthy companion. Together, we can show Arlo what it means to be valued, loved, and cared for. Will you be part of his journey? Sponsor Arlo today and help him find the life he truly deserves! We are also taking applications for anyone who would like to foster, foster to adopt, or adopt Arlo! Please dont be shy, apply today and lets make sure he lives a happy forever after.Click here to watch a video of Arlo.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All potential adopters must fill out  the adoption application.
