Onyx

Shepherd (Unknown Type) Bernese Mountain Dog

Male, Young
Riverside, AL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Onyx is bonded with his sister Snowball (she's the white one) so it's very preferred that they are taken together. It will be $100 together for the both of them- a breeder left a litter of four puppies on the road side and we ended up with these two, it's been about a year and they are both crate trained. Main reason we can't keep them is the new additions to the household making it challenging to give these two dogs the attention they deserve. They can get a little loud barking inside but we suspect it's out of boredom; they have lots of energy and will be happy just running around with eachother outside for the most part. We can't get them to fetch but they know their names, can sit and know to go to their cages when we tell them to lay down. They get nervous around other dogs but it's all bark no bite, they've never been aggressive or difficult just a bit anxious around new people and dogs. They love our cats and will even lay with them, so no worries there.

Story
Bella was found about a month ago. Her owners have not come forward, so we are looking for her forever home. She loves to cuddle and roll around in the grass. She will stop everything she is doing for a belly rub. She is a loyal dog and would be a perfect companion. She is about 30 pounds and appears to be a terrier/bull dog mix. I will also pay for her to spayed.

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
I found her downtown in the busy streets of Birmingham. She was all alone and eating out of any trash or littered to-go boxes that she could. This was appx 3 weeks ago and the temperatures were below freezing. I picked her up and took her to my local vet and immediately scanned her for a microchip, but there was not one. My last name is Hamm...so calling her Birmy Hamm just seemed so fitting. Birmy is good with other dogs! She has been around my 6 year old niece a handful of times and was just a good little girl. I've personally been paying for boarding and medical expenses at my vet, Argo Animal Clinic. She's also been around cats in the vet that come and go around her and she seems to be ok with them as well. I cannot afford to continue paying for boarding, but I felt so bad for the gal I just couldn't leave her that night in the city. I have 7 animals at home, so I cannot take her in, but I am desperate to find her a good home.
