Story
Buck is a village surprise. We adopted him along with his sister Ella 8 months ago. The ages were estimated to be around 6-8 months at the time. Buck is gentle and reserved. He loves belly rubs and kids. He loves to snack and you can earn his love with food. He is bonded with his sister Ella and they love to play in the backyard.

Story
Roxy is a very sweet and affectionate girl who is feeling the stress in the shelter. She was previously a family dog and was used to her space, family and her environment being the same each day. The shelter was a shock for her, she was adopted and returned after a few days due to being too strong for her senior adopter. Roxy will absolutely need time to adapt to her new home. She can be shy when first meeting but she has so so much love to give, she just needs the right home to give her a chance! Roxy is said to be a hugger, overly loving and loyal to her people. Please don`t be discouraged if she is not ready for a hug when meeting for the first time! She will most likely be glued to shelter staff until she gets to know you a little better. Roxy has done well with children but may not be a good fit for a home with small children due to her tendency to jump up for a hug and excitement she feels when taking treats! Previously, Roxy lived with another dog and they got along but in the shelter she has not had a desire to make new dog friends. She is oftentimes skittish and uncomfortable during dog meet and greets and we feel that she will feel more secure and safe as the only pet in the home. With additional socializing we do believe Roxy could live with another dog again but as of right now she is not at that place in her life. Roxy has had some basic training and is potty trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “down”, “off”, “treat”, “come” and “no”. When she is needing to go potty she will wait patiently at the door. Roxy was used to having access to her crate at night and usually chose to sleep in it. Roxy can be known to be a couch potato but she will still thrive best with regular exercise. She doesn`t much love the cold weather and will probably beg to go inside during a walk if it`s cold out. She does love one on one play though - her favorite toys are anything that`s rubber and stuffies! We anticipate her being happy with being pampered, spoiled and cuddled most of the time in her new home. We want nothing more than to set Roxy up for success and find her a home she will thrive in. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Roxy we would love for you to come by and meet her!

And then there were 3…If you haven’t already, meet our J boys! We have to say how incredibly proud we are of our J boys. They are learning so much in the shelter and know they will absolutely thrive in a loving home! Jay, Jason and Jerry are all incredibly sweet and affectionate. They melt when being petted and hugged on. They don’t have a shy bone in their body and want to be best friends with every person they meet! A quick little update on their progress; they have made great improvement with walking on a leash which is so amazing to see! They all know the cue “sit” and seem to be getting the hang of “come” and “off”. They may not be completely potty trained yet, but that’s hard to accomplish in a shelter setting! Our remaining J boys will need a patient owner who is able to continue training.Jay is by far our most accepting J towards other dogs. He wants nothing more than to make friends! Jay has done great with sharing toys with his brothers and loves when everyone joins in on the fun. He has the cutest play bow and whisper bark when he’s trying to get someone to play with him. Jay absolutely loves toys but especially stuffies. Of course, he will be happiest in a home that is able to provide regular playtime and enrichment! Jay loves being petted and hugged. If you get down to his level, he will absolutely lose his mind and be extra wiggly until he finds a spot in your lap! Jay is incredibly tolerable and would appreciate a friend who is just as tolerable because he loves to wrestle. Him and his brother Jerry have had a couple play dates together and do great with each other`s wrestling and chasing!

Our remaining J boys will need a patient owner who is able to continue training. Jerry is our most rambunctious J, but please don`t let his energy stop you from meeting him! He is oh so sweet and cuddly too. Jerry has gone out on a couple miles for mutts adventures and does great! He can be talkative when he’s excited and would howl a little when in the vehicle. Jerry instantly relaxes when being pet! There’s no doubt that Jerry will be happiest with having a positive outlet for his energy. He enjoys other dogs` company and has even had the opportunity to play with his brother Jay in the shelter! He appreciates proper introductions to new dogs but lights up once he’s ready to play! A friend that matches his energy would be ideal as he loves to wrestle and talk with his teeth, in the nicest way possible!

Our remaining J boys will need a patient owner who is able to continue training.Jason still has that “ big brother “ personality. Though he is friendly towards other dogs and his brothers, he still wants everything to be his and his only! Jason is possessive of toys when with other dogs and it will be important that adopters are able to accommodate this while he continues to learn and share. A tolerable and submissive friend may be best for him. Jason still loves stuffies, but he has found a new love, rubber bones! Jason may be the most advanced J boy when it comes to potty training and leash walking, which is why we think he will take to additional training well! Jason has done great on miles for mutts adventures and loves to see the world around him. Jason will be happiest having regular exercise in his day-to-day life. Like the rest, he is very sweet and affectionate. He loves to make himself cozy in your lap and is a lap dog at heart!

Story
Ritz the absolute sweetest girl. Ritz is a very kind, well-mannered and gentle girl. She loves to be praised and wants nothing more than to make everyone around her happy! She appreciates gentle snuggles and will lean her head on your chest; she has truly stolen our hearts. Ritz arrived to the shelter as a stray and for as sweet as she is it’s surprising no one came looking for her. We do not know if she has lived with children or other animals. During her time in the shelter, she has not been reactive towards other dogs. She is a more mellow girl and would do best with a respectful friend who matches her energy. We can always provide a dog meet and greet if needed! Ritz is happy to go on walks but her favorite thing seems to be spending time with her people - she is happy lounging around and taking in each moment! Ritz is quiet and may seem reserved to some people, but we promise she is incredibly loving! Ritz appears to be mostly potty trained, but we anticipate her doing great with a regular routine. When in her kennel she is relaxed and usually curled up on her bed which leads us to believe she may be crate trained. Ritz also walks well on a leash and knows the cue “sit”. Ritz is seriously such a good girl, and we would love to see her adopted into a loving, kind and soft-spoken home.
