And then there were 3…If you haven’t already, meet our J boys! We have to say how incredibly proud we are of our J boys. They are learning so much in the shelter and know they will absolutely thrive in a loving home! Jay, Jason and Jerry are all incredibly sweet and affectionate. They melt when being petted and hugged on. They don’t have a shy bone in their body and want to be best friends with every person they meet! A quick little update on their progress; they have made great improvement with walking on a leash which is so amazing to see! They all know the cue “sit” and seem to be getting the hang of “come” and “off”. They may not be completely potty trained yet, but that’s hard to accomplish in a shelter setting! Our remaining J boys will need a patient owner who is able to continue training. Jerry is our most rambunctious J, but please don`t let his energy stop you from meeting him! He is oh so sweet and cuddly too. Jerry has gone out on a couple miles for mutts adventures and does great! He can be talkative when he’s excited and would howl a little when in the vehicle. Jerry instantly relaxes when being pet! There’s no doubt that Jerry will be happiest with having a positive outlet for his energy. He enjoys other dogs` company and has even had the opportunity to play with his brother Jay in the shelter! He appreciates proper introductions to new dogs but lights up once he’s ready to play! A friend that matches his energy would be ideal as he loves to wrestle and talk with his teeth, in the nicest way possible!

Though he is friendly towards other dogs and his brothers, he still wants everything to be his and his only! Jason is possessive of toys when with other dogs and it will be important that adopters are able to accommodate this while he continues to learn and share. A tolerable and submissive friend may be best for him. Jason still loves stuffies, but he has found a new love, rubber bones! Jason may be the most advanced J boy when it comes to potty training and leash walking, which is why we think he will take to additional training well! Jason has done great on miles for mutts adventures and loves to see the world around him. Jason will be happiest having regular exercise in his day-to-day life. Like the rest, he is very sweet and affectionate. He loves to make himself cozy in your lap and is a lap dog at heart!

Story
Kennedy needs a special adopter. She came in with her puppies because her owner could no longer give them the time and care they needed. Kennedy is a high energy dog that needs someone that can work with her on potty training and leash training. We have seen some progress on the leash training and have seen progress on her potty training; however, she needs someone that can give her undivided attention. She loves going outside and wants some adventure in her life. She loves being with people and has lived in a house with other dogs. She can be a bit over eager and may need slow introductions with other dogs, as her larger than life personality might be a bit much for some quieter pups. If you are wanting a new adventure partner - come meet this gal.

Story
Sven is a well-rounded Husky! He has a great personality and is super duper social. Sven came from a family-oriented home and was never shy of being in a busy household. Sven has great manners, especially for such a rowdy breed! He is potty trained, and crate trained. He was typically crated when left alone, he may protest a little bit when first entering the crate but overall does really great! Sven also walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit”, “stay’, `down `,`off `,`treat `,`no `,`heel ` and `potty `. Sven is an active and playful dude who will be his happiest self with regular exercise. His previous owners said that he is always up for an adventure! We imagine him loving everything the Alaskan outdoors has to offer. Sven is said to do well with other dogs. He has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter and has a friendly demeanor when seeing the other dogs but truthfully, he doesn`t seem to be interested in playing! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. Sven is also said to do well with cats. Slow introductions are advised! Sven is a super cool dude who could make a great addition to most homes. We imagine him being a dream to husky lovers!

Story
Reuben is a young and energetic guy who is looking for a home that is able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy! Reuben is still learning and is hoping for an owner who can continue training. He does appear to be mostly potty trained which is great! He also knows the cue “sit”. Reuben is super treat motivated and eager to learn! He has improved on his leash walking skills, but his excitement can take over at times and he will jump up. Reuben has been friendly towards other dogs and was fortunate enough to make a couple friends during his time in the shelter! He is incredibly playful and will be happiest with a friend that matches his energy. Reuben is just a happy and wiggly guy who could be described as the life of the party! He loves making friends and has yet to meet someone he doesn`t like. His bubbly personality is one of the things we love about him, and he is sure to put a smile on your face too. If you feel that Reuben would be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to come by and meet him. This fun dude is so deserving of a forever home!

Story
Tobias arrived to the shelter as a stray. We were pretty surprised when no one came looking for him as he is super sweet and had clearly been loved! Tobias is a dog who is getting into his golden years and is looking for a home where he can relax and be his most comfortable self! He is typically a mellow, low maintenance gentleman. Shelter life is starting to make Tobias a little anxious as he would prefer to be in a calmer environment. Since he has only recently appeared to be anxious, we do not expect this behavior to follow him into his home but please keep in mind that Tobias will need time to adapt to his new home! Though Tobias has been mellow he would still love the opportunity to take nice walks from time to time. Tobias is very sweet, loves attention and has done great with meeting new people. He has very soulful eyes and has a great puppy dog face. We can`t help but shower him with pets anytime he asks! We do not know if Tobias has lived with other animals or children. He has not been reactive towards other dogs in the shelter, but he may not be looking to try to keep up with a puppy! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. Tobias does appear to be potty trained; he walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit” and “shake”. Tobias could make a great addition to someone who is laid back and likes to keep things chill as he too enjoys the cozy things in life! If Tobias sounds like the right guy for you, we would love for you to meet him!
