Story
Nogurt will be turning 7 these December. I got him back in 2018 from a friend. He is a well trained potty boy with a lot of energy. He does bark at people he doesn't know but warms up to people quickly. He loves to sleep, play, and run outside. He knows common sign like how to sit and give paw. I would like nogurt to be in a loving home who can handle his hyperactive personality.

Story
Heather belonged to my son. He adopted her 3 years ago. She is 8 years old.. My son has recently had a major health issue which has left him with limited mobility. Therefore he is unable to take care of her. I have moved her into my home until we can find a new forever home for her. I am 88 years old and I am unable to take her for walks but can provide her with her daily needs. However, I don’t feel confident that I can continue for very long. I am looking for someone who can walk her, play with her, and love her. She soaks up love and attention. She has never destroyed or torn anything up. She eats well, but doesn’t get table food or junk.

Story
Kai originally was brought to us from the Valdez Animal Shelter after spending 175 days in the shelter! Kai is hoping the change in scenery will help him find his forever home. We would love for a malamute lover who understands his breed to snatch him up! Kai is very friendly and does great with meeting new people. His big size and playful demeanor may be too much for some small children. He can absolutely be stubborn at times and will resist coming inside if he just is not done with playtime. He can also be described as being sassy and will back talk from time to time! Kai is an active dog and will thrive best with regular exercise. His new home should be able to provide him with a positive outlet for his energy! Kai does have good manners in a home setting, as he did spend some time with a foster so we could learn a little more about him. Kai is potty trained and will sit at the door when he needs to go out. He walks well on a leash and knows the cues “sit” and “down”. Kai may do best as the only pet in the home. How he does with cats or other small animals has not been tested but we do anticipate that he would chase them, based on a mixture of his breed and energy! Kai has done well with some other dogs, but prefers submissive, tolerable females. This can be a pretty typical trait within malamutes, especially considering we do not know what kind of socializing he had as a puppy. Again, Kai may be most successful as an only pet. If you have another dog and are interested in meeting Kai, we will require a dog meet and greet prior to adopting. Kai deserves to find a home that will be a good fit for him. He is ready to experience the great outdoors with his new family and catch up on all the new, fun and exciting things he may have missed out on with being in a shelter for so long. If you feel that Kai would be a good fit for your home, we encourage you to come by and meet him!

Story
Moose is such a lover boy. We have absolutely adored having Moose with us and are so grateful to see him doing so well! When Moose first arrived to the shelter, he was very skinny and though he does still need to put on a few pounds, he is a much healthier version of himself! Moose is so cuddly and affectionate. He loves spending time with his people and is more than happy to lay at your feet or sit on your lap! He is great company. Moose has made himself comfortable in staff offices throughout the day and is always such a good boy! Moose may be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but he can’t resist treats and cuddles for too long. He has done well with children, but please keep in mind that he is a hungry boy and will most likely try to sneak snacks from the little kids! Moose has done well with cats and loves playing with other dogs. He really is just a friendly and gentle soul who wants to be loved by everyone around him! Moose is also potty trained and appears to be crate trained. He walks great on a leash and knows the cues “sit” and “shake”. Moose is absolutely perfect, and we want nothing more than to see him thrive! He will need a patient, gentle and kind owner. If you feel that your home would be a good fit for Moose, we would love for you to meet him!
