Story
Moose is the sweetest big baby... he is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle, especially in the morning. He is very smart, intuitive and learns quickly. He is not high energy but he does love exploring on walks or digging for rocks in the lake. He does great on and off leash, he doesn't wander and has great recall. Moose is potty trained and doesn't mind being in a crate for short periods. He loves car rides and has never been destructive in any way. He seems to do great with cats but needs to be the only dog in the home. He is 99.99% the most perfect dog I've ever fostered, he just can't be around other dogs or kids. Moose is about 80lbs (mostly his big head!)

Story
Roxy is a sweet girl 12 lbs, in good health for her age, but as she has gotten older, she has gotten grumpy. All she wants to do is cuddle and be a lap dog. She is excellent on a leash and has no physical restrictions for walking other than she gets tired quickly. She does not do well with kids. The fast movement and the noise make her snippy. She has never bitten anyone, but we will act like she is going to. Due to age, her teeth are bad; she has lost her front teeth, so she cannot bite anyone. I ended up with her from another family member who could no longer keep her. I have a large, young dog who she does not like. He wants to play and is too much for her. She does ok with small dogs after she warms up. Roxy would be great for a home without kids where she can get all the love.

Story
Aspen is a wonderful 7 month old puppy and he’s very smart. He loves walks, meeting people and all of the dogs along the way. He needs room to roam and play outdoors. I’ve taught him to sit (hand gesture), heel, to fetch a ball. He’s crate trained with encouragement. He seldom barks. High energy. He hasn’t adapted to my cat of 10 years at all. Learning to be house trained. I’ve been trying to teach him a lot of things. I have a serious injured lower back and it’s getting harder as he wants to go faster than I can walk. He’s very loyal to my voice and has done very well in my car. He loves going into stores and meeting other people. I’m trying to teach him not to jump and a lot of times he’s wanting to play. I’m hoping to find a loving home, with a large yard or with some property. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read this and look forward to hearing from you.

Story
Senior Alert!! Sherman is 11.5 yrs old (DOB 08.30.12). He’s the absolute best boy with other dogs of all sizes. He does prefer a home without any cats. Sherman would do well in a home with older children. He is an absolute love, who is happy cuddling up on the couch with his humans and snuggling, but despite his age he also LOVES his daily walks. Sherman is now almost completely deaf, and has trouble seeing in the dark because of changes in his eyes due to age. But, he’s still extremely strong when on walks or even playing. He knows basic obedience commands and is crate trained, house trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He would do best in a home with somebody who is home almost always as he does have some separation anxiety. Sherman is not a SacRDR rescue dog. He is one of our foster's rehoming projects. She is a Vet Tech and is in the process of starting her own rescue. We fully back her and her dogs. We have collaborated on rehoming several dogs with her and the dogs are stable grounded animals. If you are interested in Sherman we will refer you to our foster. An application and home inspection will be required. Interested in meeting Sherman? Meet Ralphie! Ralphie is about 1.5 years old. He is a happy boy who is full of energy! Ralphie is already crate trained. He is also potty trained in his current home, but as with any dog, he will need gentle guidance on the learning the appropriate place to potty in his new home. Ralphie seems to enjoy the company of other dogs of all sizes. He loves playing with other dogs and toys in his foster home. Ralphie knows how to sit when asked and is very food motivated, which will help make his continued training so much easier! Ralphie will be best suited to a home with older children, and prefers a feline-free home. Interested in meeting Ralphie?
