Story
Meet Bonnie, an adult canine with a zest for life that`s infectious. She`s the embodiment of joy, always up for a game of fetch or a long walk with the family. Her playful antics are guaranteed to keep you entertained and her energetic nature ensures she`s always ready for the next adventure. Bonnie`s goofy personality is sure to bring laughter into your home, making every day brighter. Her friendly demeanor makes her an ideal companion for all. Adopt Bonnie and bring home not just a pet, but a bundle of happiness and unwavering friendship. Bonnie has some impressive jumping skills and likes to jump up on her favorite people when she is excited. Because of this, we are requiring that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. Bonnie does not enjoy sharing a home with small dogs, so we are requiring that there are no small dogs in her new household. If there are other large dogs in her new home, we will be requiring a dog introduction to see if Bonnie and her new friend will be a good match. She is also not allowed to visit dog parks.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies

Story
Charlotte is a sweet, gentle lady looking for her new home. She is house trained, enjoys short to medium neighborhood walks, car rides, and cuddling with you. She loves to be nearby her people and will give you gentle kisses when you pet her. She knows sit, down, and wait and has started to learn “shake”, too. Charlotte`s favorite things are belly rubs, playing ball, going for car rides, and going for walks. Be aware that she loves to deconstruct her stuffed toys, so keep stuffed animals out of her reach unless you want a stuffing surprise! She walks nicely on leash, very little pulling. Charlotte spent a weekend with two of our foster volunteers and they learned that she is a low to medium energy dog with polite indoor manners. They shared, `When you are in the kitchen, she is nearby - but not underfoot. When you are on the sofa, she will be by your side. If you are snacking on the sofa, a gentle `no` will keep her from sneaking a bite off your plate. She is a happy dog who will sleep curled up in bed with you.` They created a video so you can learn more about her, so be sure to click on the video link or scan the QR code on her habitat at Placer SPCA. Charlotte can be fearful in new spaces, so we are recommending that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her needs. She prefers to be the only dog in the household so we are requiring that there are no other dogs in her new home. She may not visit dog parks.***Check out my video by clicking `play` under my photos!***Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies.

Captain Jake

American Pit Bull Terrier Weimaraner

Male, 6 yrs 8 mos
Roseville, CA
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Story
Jake is house trained, enjoys neighborhood walks, car rides, golf cart rides, being brushed and petted, getting a bath, and being with you. He is a loyal dog who will lean into you when you pet him and he wags his tail with happiness. The Weimaraner breed is known for their light amber colored eyes - and grey/blue eyes, and Jake has one of each! It was fun for our foster volunteers to see how willing Jake was to try new things - jumping into the neighbor’s golf cart for a ride in Sun City, sampling a morning smoothie, walking into the shower and letting them give him a bath, showing off his obedience commands and his trick `shake`. He was such a good sport about everything he was introduced to. Jake walks nicely on leash, he keeps pace with you, but also likes to occasionally pause and sniff the flowers and bushes along the way. And he likes car rides. The very first time our volunteers opened the car door for Jake, he hopped right in. Jake loved it! While Jake seems to be polite when meeting other dogs on neighborhood walks, he does want to be the only dog in his home and he wouldn’t enjoy visiting dog parks. He would also like not to live with cats. He doesn`t always want to share his things so any children in his new home should be age 10 or older. A consultation will be provided to Jake`s adopter to learn more about him and his individual needs. ***Check out my video by clicking `play` under my photos!***Adoption Fee: $150Monthly Promo Applies

Story
Meet Azula, your true blue companion! She loves car trips, hamburgers (but not fries!), and cuddling with a toy on the couch. Azula`s perfect for drives or welcoming you home with a wagging tail. As with many of this active and intelligent breed, keeping both her mind and body busy can be the key to a successful life together. Azula likes to play tug with her leash and is still learning how to share her favorite treats. Because of this, we recommend that any children in her new home are age 10 or older. She is selective of the other dogs she shares her space with so we will be providing a dog introduction to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home. Story
Meet Chevy, the life of the party at our shelter. This playful chap has a knack for turning every situation into a comedy. Once, he managed to sneak into the shelter`s kitchen, mistaking the refrigerator for a giant tennis ball dispenser. The result? A kitchen turned into a winter wonderland with ice cubes and food flying around! Chevy`s not just goofy, he`s also incredibly loyal and friendly. He might be a bit selective about his doggy pals, but give him a tennis ball and he`ll be your best friend. If there are any doggy pals in his new home, his shelter friends will provide a dog introduction prior to adoption. This means he wouldn`t enjoy dog parks either. Instead, he would much rather get all of his energy out with you! His antics will keep you laughing and his loyalty will warm your heart. Adopt Chevy, because life is too short for a home without laughter and a dog`s love.Adoption Price: $250Monthly Promotion Applies
