Story
Scout is 4 years old. He has always been an inside dog that lives in the country and would not do good unsupervised outdoors. When Scout was born there was only one grandchild in the family, now there are 6. For the last 6 mo he has low keyed growled at the children when they visit which obviously has their parents extremely concerned. He has never bit them due to being separated at all times now but that leaves him alone too much and he deserves better than that. Scout definitely has potential to be wonderful in an environment that is best for him. He has always done very well in the house and prefers to be in his kennel at night. We have had several labs before Scout so we are not unfamiliar with the breed, please be kind with questions. This is not a quick decision on our part however an unfortunate injury to my husband months ago and an ailing parent has us here and has also haulted consistency in training, no doubt he will be quick to relearn and be back to his best self.

Story
This sweet girl is Tilly. She is 6 months old. She was surrendered to the rescue at 8 weeks by a breeder who said her head was larger than it should be. We immediately got her to our vet who diagnosed hydrocephalus, or water on the brain. After researching the treatment she was put on daily meds. She is a bit of a miracle puppy because most of the pups diagnosed with this don’t live to 8 weeks. She had never had a seizure, which is common with hydrocephalus. We started her on medication and she improved enough to be spayed. One of the vets has said that they now believe she will outgrow this. Her daily medication is inexpensive. She really just needs a loving home. Her foster has been working with her on potty training. Tilly is such a sweet girl and does very well with the other dogs in her foster home. She is spayed, vaccinated & microchipped. She will also have 3 months of her daily medication. Her adoption fee is $400. Our app is online at https://form.jotform.com/souldogrr/application or email the rescue at souldogrr@gmail.com.

Story
🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾Bennie🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾🏐🐾 Bennie came to us at the very end of 2022 with his buddy who has already been adopted. Both were intentionally starved by their previous “owner” so they ending up at Sherman Animal Shelter needing rescue. He came to us skin and bones at 32lbs but he has completed his refeeding process and is now a healthy 60lbs! He is now fully vaccinated and neutered and is ready for his forever family! Bennie is an adult male estimated to be 5 years old. He is dog friendly with proper introductions and incredibly sweet. He has lots of energy and enjoys being outdoors. His foster mama says he's made a ton of progress with her, and that he's just a big baby! He knows to wait until he's released for his food, has amazing recall, and loves going on walks and runs. Bennie is a big snuggler who loves his chew toys and tennis balls! Bennie Facts ⬇️ • 65 lbs • Vaccinated and neutered • Needs an experienced foster or adopter • Needs continued socialization • NO cats right now • Loves tennis balls 🎾 📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/secondchancespetsanctuarytx/Second-Chances-Adoption-Application

Story
LIMITED TIME ONLY! ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN SPONSORED! Hi, my name is Koa! I have deformed bowed legs from being crated all my life and a knee injury! I need a TPLO surgery but due to my bowed legs I was told I am not a candidate for surgery at this time. I am the sweetest boy who would protect you to no end. 🩵🩵 I love to know I have a bit of freedom & have done so much better with open space. I am content by myself but would much rather have human company near me at all times. I do love my fosters large breed dogs. I am unsure how I would do with small animals. Due to prey drive I cannot be adopted to a home with small animals. I LOVE to lick! As you can tell my feet are stained, due to licking so much. I am not a huge fan of actual toys. Just things I can constantly lick & chew. My digestive system isn’t the greatest, but I finally have normal bowel movements! 😄😄 I would love to have bones, cow hooves or pig ears but unfortunately, I can’t process them like I should be able to ☹️. My Kong toy has become my all-time fav now!! I am on prescription dry food. I love to go on car rides! One of my foster’s coworkers brought it to her attention that I’d be a great fit for a truck driver!! I have a hard time with separation from people or my foster siblings. If you’re with me, I can go 4-5 hours without having to go outside. I love all humans & all I ever want are belly rubs or a scratch under my ears & collar. ❤️ I’d be best as an only dog, but with a very slow introduction it is possible to have other siblings.

Story
🐾 🐾 🐾 Creed 🐾 🐾 🐾 This good boy is looking for his forever home or for a foster ASAP! His foster is having a family emergency and needs him placed! He did great at our last adoption event, gently taking treats from two doggy whisperer kiddos, practicing his sit, lay down, and shake cues, and just chilling with the other pups! He needs structure and an active home. Creed is: 🦴 2-3 years old 🐾 super good energy, athletic! 🦴 neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines 🐾 crate trained 🦴 super food motivated and easy to train! He has the cutest little underbite, and is good with dogs as long as there’s proper slow introductions!

Story
🐾 🐾 🐾 Hi, my name is Buckeye! I was named after the candy. Who doesn't like chocolate & peanut butter? It's one of the best combinations ever invented. I am 1 of 6 pipe puppies. I love chasing my siblings around the house and yard. I am working on potty and crate training. I am just a tiny little thing, but I am growing fast. I love a good snuggle! 🐾 🐾 🐾
