Story
We got Ducky around 2 months ago. He’s 6 months old, born December 5th 2023! He’s super lovable, lots of energy so needs somewhere he can run and play. Does well with walking on leash, vet visits, and he tolerates the groomer but doesn’t enjoy it! He’s a huge cuddler who loves to play fetch. We have been working on crate and potty training. He’s good with potty training so far, no accidents when someone is home and lets you know when he needs out. If you leave him uncrated and alone he tends to have accidents even if it’s just an hour. Crate training has been a work in progress as well. He’s very vocal about his dislike for it, but he doesn’t potty or tear up his kennel. He’s never snapped at anyone or shown food aggression at all and he knows to sit and wait while you get his food ready! We love this dog very much but due to a new lease agreement we cannot keep him and truly need him to go to a loving home that has time to put in to him, and can keep him furever 💜

Story
Hi guys, I'm Buddy! I am 1.5 years old, and I have the energy to prove it! I would make a great companion for an active family, and I do well with other dogs, but I am dominant when it comes to other males. I am treat motivated, and I love to spend my free time chasing balls! When I first came in, I had a lot of trouble with my ears but the staff and veterinarian have taken good care of me, so they are much better now! I will always have the cauliflower ears, but they do not bother me any longer! I am a good boy just looking for a home where we can share lots of attention and lovings! Please come out to meet me today!I have been at the shelter for quite some time now, and it is really weighing on my stress levels. I hope someone will come to meet me soon as I promise I am a good boy. Sometimes I can seem off-putting at first, but that is just until I realize I can trust you. You see, I came in as a stray and I don't want that life again. I may be losing the hope out of my eyes, but when I realize I am in a safe and warm home... That is the dream and I am yearning for it! Some quick facts about me: Cat FriendlyDog Selective (good with females, can be dominant with other males)Kid Friendly Likely HousetrainedActive boy!Weight: 59 lbsIntake Date: 11/25/2023Reason: Stray from SyracuseGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Hi, I'm Serena and I am 5 years old! I am the sweetest, goodest girl once I am comfortable around you! I am shy at first, but when I realize we are friends, get ready for lots of energy and to wrestle! I love to play, including with the water hose! I am cat friendly, but I can be picky on my doggy friends because I like to be the one in charge, especially during play time. I would do wonderful in a one person home or with a couple that has older kids. I used to be an emotional support dog, and I have saved my person's life a few times, but due to circumstances that were of no fault of mine, I had to be surrendered here to the shelter. I would love to find my furever home soon so please come out to meet me!Some quick facts about me: Cat FriendlyDog SelectiveKid Friendly (ages 12+)HousetrainedSweet & SillyWeight: 73lbsIntake Date: 01/20/2024Reason: Unsuitable AccommodationsGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Hi there! I'm Louie and I'm 9 years young! I am a sweet, sweet boy that loves to be by your side! I am a good boy that loves to be with my people, and I can't wait to find a home where I can relax on some comfy blankets in front of a fire and watch TV with my family. I would do best in a home with no other pets, but I like human children because people are just my favorite beings, and I want to please! I am already housetrained, and I know some commands too! I am well mannered and I walk well on a leash. I hope you'll come out to meet me soon and that my age doesn't scare you away.
