Story
We got Rex when he was a few months old. He is currently 4 years old. He is house and crate trained. He is a purebred, no papers. We have never experienced issues with aggression toward us or any family or friends. He is incredibly sweet. He can be a little vocal and he likes to dig. Unfortunately about a month ago he got out of the backyard following a storm. The kids did not know the fence was open when they let him out of his crate. During his time out, he got into the neighbors cat food. When she attempted to take the food, he bit her hand. To the best of my knowledge she experienced only a minor injury. Given the circumstances, the local police did not deem him viscous. We have attempted to relinquish him to multiple local shelters and even contacted a German shepherd sanctuary in KC, but they are all full. We were told, regardless of how severe the injury was, we should contact our vet about having him put down because it is unlikely anyone will adopt him.

Story
Bella is the sweetest and such a loving dog. She does require allot of attention because she always wants to play. She needs a home with young people that have as much energy as she does. She will come with her bed and toys and many other supplies at no charge, I just want her to have a good loving home. She is completely housebroken and well behaved (most of the time).

Story
Guten Tag! My name is Gunter and even though that means "warrior", in my world it means "funny gunny bunny"! My foster mom says I'm great with other dogs, especially younger dogs because older dogs are just not into playing as much as I am! I love my cat foster brother too! I absolutely love going to doggy daycare on the weekends to hang out with all my friends. I never meet a stranger! I'm good with kiddos as well, but I like to wrestle and use my paws, so could scratch or accidentally hurt a little one. I'm proud to say I kennel well, can sit on command, sleep through the night, ride well in a car, am food motivated for easy training, and am potty trained. I'm a typical velcro doggy who REALLY loves my people! If you've got the squeaky toys and are ready to play fetch, we will get along just great! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative! June 30, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comJune 30, 2024, 12:13 am
