Story
Say hi to Luna! Luna is an adorable smooth fox terrier mix who is approximately 4-1/2 years old & was sadly bounced around a fair amount at a young age. She currently weighs about 35 lbs, is tall & wiry, & boy can she jump! This little gal can jump five to six feet in the air from a stand still, & she is also extremely fast! We think Miss Luna would make a great agility dog if someone was willing to put in the time to work with her. Still a youngster, she is very playful, full of energy & smart as a whip! Luna loves spending time in the yard, running & playing both with the other dogs & by herself. She has a great time playing ball all by herself at times! Luna is a very sweet girl who loves everybody, especially kids! She also gets along well with other dogs. She is not a dominant personality, but is also not super submissive; she falls pretty solidly in between & easily submitted to our pack elders, but she isn’t afraid to correct a dog she thinks isn’t acting right! Luna is food motivated & LOVES treats! She is housebroken, crate-trained, & good on leash. She is also fully vetted (spayed, de-wormed, heartworm negative, up-to-date on all vaccinations) including microchip with lifetime registration. This silly, affectionate little girl is sooo ready for her forever home after being in our rescue for over three years for no good reason! A securely fenced yard & a young playful sibling are required for Luna’s adoption. Adoption fee is $150. Verbal interview, home check, vet reference & adoption contract required.

Story
Behaviors- Cats: not tested Other dogs: Great, loves playing with current foster’s dogs Children: not tested, but she is submissive and once her confidence grows, I think she would enjoy children Adults: Timid, strong fear of men, responds better to women Potty Training Progress: she is still working on it but mostly goes outside, or on pee pads. Has had a few accidents. Crate Trained: Fully crate trained! Leash Trained: Not leash trained (this is too traumatic for her still), she REQUIRES a fenced yard. Other behavioral info: Quincy enjoys her food and toys so much! She loves a good chew bone. She loves running in the yard with my other dogs. Quincy needs a committed home that can continue to help her build confidence. She is a high flight risk. She must have a secure, fenced yard. She cannot walk on a leash as she freaks out and will try to get out of it and run away. She has not responded well to any men, she will howl and run away from them. Quincy’s ideal home is a home that has a lot of patience and experience with rescue dogs and will continue to help her grow into her confidence. Great things about Quincy: Quincy is an extremely sweet dog; she is just still recovering from a lot of trauma and trust issues. She will be an excellent companion once her confidence grows. She has the softest fur ever and will gently take a treat out of your hand.

Story
🏆Meet Barksdale! As we all know, this Champion Pup has a gold Medal in Archery and is hoping to compete in the Paris Olympics! Whenever he is not competing in a tournament, he is winning the hearts of all who meet him! 💕 🍿 If you are a homebody and looking for a snuggly lap dog to help you binge watch everything on Netflix! Barksdale is the pup for you! 📣All about Barksdale 📣 Cats: Have not been able to observe. No cats in the foster home. Other dogs: Barksdale seems to do well with dogs his size. He does not care too much for large dogs. Children: Barksdale has so far done well with my 4-year-old niece. He also does well with our 11-year-old and our teenager in the home. Adults: Barksdale can be a little nervous when meeting new people. He can be reserved and fearful at first. However, he quickly warms up to you and is SOOO snuggly. Barksdale is a "Velcro" pup, he loves to be by your side. Crate Training: When we are home, I am not enforcing the crate. However, for his safety he is in the crate if we need to be out of the house. However, the crate is available to him at all times if he chooses to go in. A box crate is suggested if crate is used at all, as he likes to chew the metal ones and gets his little face stuck. Potty Training Progress: Barksdale is doing well with potty training and will need consistency to help with continued success. He does better outside when accompanied with a human. He does not like to be left out alone. He is responding well to positive reinforcement. He wears belly bands indoors...JIC! Other things to know about Barksdale: He is still learning to walk on a leash. I highly suggest a fenced yard and that he never be unsupervised. Once fearful of outdoors....to now he wants to be outside with every opportunity! A fenced yard will give him a safe space to explore.

Story
Behaviors- 🧁Sweetest, low maintenance girl. She loves relaxing near her people and is very affectionate and playful once she’s comfortable and feeling safe. She will do just about anything for chicken🍗🐔🐓 or plain cheerios and loves a booty scratch or belly rub once she’s comfortable with you. Cats: 🐈‍Sniffs and gets sniffed, no barking, chasing or aggression. Mostly indifferent but would probably play with a cat that was interested. 🐈 Other dogs: 🐩 she seems to really like well-mannered dogs of a similar size and would likely open up faster with a doggie companion.🐕 Children: 👪 Hasn't met any tiny children but likes the resident twelve-year-old. Young, fast-moving kiddos would likely scare her. 👪 Adults: 👨 Shy at first, is much more open with foster than visitors. She needs consistency and patience to feel safe with new people. Chicken is your bargaining chip!! 👨 Potty Training Progress: 💩 95% potty trained! Does all her pees outside, she does poop on a potty pad once a day but would pick that up in a snap with another dog and a fenced yard to roam. 💩 Other behavioral info: ℹ️ Darcy is a special girl that needs a special home. She spent 5 years in puppy mill hell and needs time to decompress in her new home and learn to trust that new people mean her no harm. She is not a lap dog – yet- but may become one with time and patience. She likes to be in the same room with her people but not in your face. ℹ️
