Story
My name is Bedford. I am estimated to be 8-10 years old, weigh about 14 pounds, and I am missing some teeth. I am a pretty chill, laid-back pup. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the balcony watching the world go by or sleeping in the sun. I like to be in the same room with my foster mom and enjoy sitting or sleeping next to her. My curious nature has me sniffing bushes and grass for interesting smells as I toddle along on our walks outside. I am cautious meeting new dogs and people, but eventually I may do a little sniffing and then go on my way. I am not a noisy barker by nature, but I will let my foster mom know when it is time to eat or go outside. Missing a few teeth has not diminished my appetite, but softer food is preferable. My house manners have become almost perfect. My foster mom thinks I am a great dog! You should know that when I find my forever person and home my big heart will love you forever! Bedford will need another small dog in the home or someone that is home most of the time. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. He is located in IL Donations are greatly appreciated for his care. Story
George and Gracie are around 9 years old. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. ***There are no exceptions to this*** George & Gracie are two of the sweetest babies you will ever meet. George is a 12lb bichon and Gracie is an adorable 7.5lb miniature poodle. Gracie has one dry eye and will require two prescription eyedrops, in addition to over the counter eyedrops. George lost his teeth, but LOVES squeaky toys! Gracie’s specialty is keeping your lap warm, she’s a very big snuggler. If she’s not next to you, she will be found next to George. These two are very special and they deserve to be in a home where they are loved, because they will return that love many times over. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. They are located in OK. Small Paws Rescue, as always, is committed to rescuing Bichons and placing them in loving homes. Story
Oliver and Clarabeth are a double bundle of love and energy. They are devoted to each other and almost inseparable. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. At about 2 years old they are on the go almost nonstop. They are very much in your lap and in your face. Oliver is a bit more outgoing than Clarabeth. As soon as I sit, he comes soaring in from somewhere to land on me. Clarabeth is a little more subtle about getting in my lap. They both sleep on me or next to me. They are both very eager eaters. Out of the current 7 at home I give them their food last, and they still finish first. They are very good about not going for others’ food unless it has been abandoned. Anything that hits the floor is fair game. They aren’t particularly fond of grooming, but I think they had not been groomed enough for them to get used to it. With a little patience grooming wasn’t too bad. House training is a work in progress, but they are usually pretty good using puppy pads. These are two wonderful little souls and will be a great blessing to the right family. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. Oliver and Clarabeth are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They also need a fenced yard to play in **There are no exceptions to this** They are located in IL If you’d like to donate to the care of Small Paws Rescue dogs, please copy and paste this link into your browser: https://donate.smallpawsrescue.org/ Donations are greatly appreciated for their care. Story
Teddy is a bundle of love. He hasn’t met a person he doesn’t want to pet him or give kisses! He is a 1 1/2 year old Bichon-Shitzu mix. He weighs about 20 lbs. He is house broken, here at his foster home. He gets along with dogs, big and little kids. He just wants to play! He is very good at fetching balls and toys.....however after about 5-10 tries he is distracted and moves onto something else. He ignores the 2 cats I have, he is not the slightest interested in them! He is a very good eater and pretty good on a leash too. He loves being outside in the backyard and going to the dog park. He makes friends with the other dogs easily. He loves for them to chase him. He sleeps on the rug next to my bed, but not on my bed. In the morning he lets a bark out to tell me it’s time to get up. He would be great for a family that has loads of energy. A fenced backyard would be great for him. (Sometimes he doesn’t want to come in he is having so much fun!) He will need a young dog in the home chosen for him or someone that is home most of the time. He needs a fenced yard. Children in the home need to be at least 8 years old. He is located in OH Donations are greatly appreciated for his care.
