Story
**This is a courtesy post** ~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Carroll - grey and white male- Carroll is a loving and very playful boy who loves his toys and wants to be in your lap all the time.  He is very treat motivated and loves to get his snacks.  He also adores his sister Tux and is bonded with her.  He is litter box trained and is ready to find his forever home.  Tux- black and white female-  Tux is shy and reserved.  She and her brother were both born outside to a ferrel colony of cats in the summer of 2022 and were rescued.  She is very food motivated and will let you let you pet her when you have treats but she takes a long time to warm up to people.  She is not aggressive but is very frightened.  She relys on her brother Carroll to help her get comfortable in new surroundings.  She loves to play and will chase after toys and loves her scratch post.  She is fully litter box trained and has done well with other cats in the home along with her brother.   --  Where did they come from: They were surrendered to a boarding facility by a good samaritan.  Adoption: ***** $300.00 for the Bonded Pair ***** Weight: they each weigh about 8 lbs. Approximate DOB: 5/10/2022 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------    August 20, 2024, 1:10 am

Story
Ranger is a striking DMH smoke-colored male born approximately 4/19/2024. His black fur has a beautiful smoky-silver outer coat. Ranger was hanging out in a garage in East Dallas. From there he went to college, but hasn't yet decided if he wants to play baseball or go into law enforcement. Either way, he's a Texas Ranger through and through! His favorite activity is lying in someone's lap and purring as loud as he can! Ranger is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.August 17, 2024, 1:09 pm

Story
Tux is a handsome DSH black and white tuxedo male born approximately 4/6/2024. "Hi there folks, I'm Tux! I was rescued by my foster mom. I'm a little “purr bucket" and a gentle, quiet kitten. I'm very smart, too. I have excellent litter box manners, groom myself well, and keep myself neat and clean. I'm so happy to be indoors! I nap a lot during the day and sleep through the night. I'm enjoying learning to play with toys. I get along with other kitties (my foster mom has two adult Tuxedo boy cats who are very kind to me.) I am getting used to the one dog, but not quite sure of him yet. He is a nice dog as far as I can tell.  I eat four small meals daily (canned kitten food), and get a snack of dry kitten food twice daily.  I will have a supply of my own food to go with me, so it can be mixed to help me transition to any new foods. I hope you'll come meet me. I am ready to embrace your family!" Tux is microchipped and currently in a foster home. His adoption fee is $105.  August 17, 2024, 1:09 pm

Story
Aslan is truly a regal little kitten, and we felt he deserved a name befitting such a majestic creature! This boy is about as sweet as they come, with eyes that could melt the iciest heart. We're still getting to know his full personality now that he's safely out of the shelter and in a loving foster home, but we're sure Aslan will keep growing into the snuggliest and cutest cat this side of Narnia.  We don’t DNA test our kittens, but we think he looks like he could be a Maine coon-type mix. Most cats in the US are made up of a variety of different breeds, and we think Aslan falls into that category as well. Either way, we know he’s 100% cute!   Once you submit an application with RHS, please keep an eye on your spam folder. Our communications often end up mistakenly filtered into applicant's spam folders.      Aslan is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2093462##

Story
Meet Vivi! Vivi is a gorgeous medium haired tuxedo cat who is approx. 10 months old and weighs around 6 Lbs. She made her debut one morning by entering a neighbor's home on Chatfield Dr. in Rockwall. Unfortunately, the neighbor's dogs took Vivi's sudden appearance as more of a challenge than a good morning greeting, so they felt it best to bring her to the shelter. She is currently looking for her furr ever home. I am recommended to be the only pet in the home and am looking for a family with kids 16 and up. Her adoption fee of $50. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination, FVRCP booster, and FIV/FELV negative. If you are interested in adoption, please complete an online adoption application on our website at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adopt.../adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. August 19, 2024, 8:01 pm
