Story
Frankie has a resilience and zeal for life that will capture your heart. She is so much more than her origin story but to understand where she is today, we have to acknowledge how far she has come. Frankie was shot with a pellet gun and some of the pellet fragments were lodged into her spine. Despite great efforts and surgery, Frankie remains semi-paralyzed in her back legs. This does not slow Frankie down in the least! Wind up a toy and watch Frankie go go go! She zips around with the zoomies like any cat, and chases toys and shadows like a pro. Frankie likes to join her foster Mom on the couch or climb up into her cat tree. Frankie adores being a big/little foster sister to animals of all kinds and would do well in an active home. Nothing stops this adventurer! Except maybe bedtime with her person, she loves to share the bed or couch.    Caring for Frankie requires some experience with cats, or at least the willingness to learn! She will need to continue her low-level physical therapy routine which consists of relaxing and adorable leg massages. Frankie can't totally control when she goes to the bathroom due to her paralysis. To help with this, her bladder is expressed three times a day. Her future adopter will need to commit to properly caring for Frankie's needs while understanding they may change in the future. Frankie eats out of a slow feeder to help keep her weight at a healthy level, that we would also be happy to provide.  Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. This cat is currently in a foster home. To meet the cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Story
Bindi is a sweet girl with a beautiful gray marble tabby and white coat. She was rescued with her sisters from under a freeway overpass. Bindi is shy around new people at first, so she would do best with someone who is experienced with cat body language and behavior. Once she's comfortable and settled in she's a real love bug. She likes to play with toys and be pet, but prefers not to be picked up. She is laid back and would do well in a quiet home with no children, and someone who will give her a lot of love. She would also do best as an only cat. Bindi loves the catio her foster mom built! This allows her to enjoy the outdoors safely, while inside a large, enclosed area. s to be pet and play with toys. She's not outgoing with strangers. Once she's comfortable, she's mellow and likes to lay around a lot. She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. This cat is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, email us at courtesy@thedancingcat.org.  November 6, 2024, 10:11 am

Ava  was rescued with her brother when she was about three months. A va needs time to warm up and learn to trust people,  but she's a sweet little girl once she's comfortable. She lays next to her foster mom and likes to be pet. She sleeps on her foster mom's laptop as well as right next to her.  Ava  gets along well with other kitties and is very playful. She has a uniquely shaped ail, which she was born with. It bends, then curls at the end and it's cute to watch her wag it.  Ava  would do best with someone that is cat savvy or experienced with kitties.  Ava  is an energetic, playful, sweet girl who will make an entertaining friend for the someone. Story
Clown Pants is a striking young man who is still learning about the world. He is cautious and methodical, but can be won over with treats and toys. In his time at the lounge, Clown Pants III has become more and more brave. Clown Pants III would like a quieter home where he can work at his own pace (and take lots of naps!). Clownie likes to play, especially with big feathers! He loves to lay on high window sills, observing the world below him. Clown Pants also loves other cats, especially his close friend Graphene. They are often cuddling together and grooming each other. He would love to go home with him so they can continue their special friendship!  This cat is in a foster home. Story
Meet Tim Mcpaw! This gentle and loving cat started out life on the streets, but has decided to embrace the simple life of a pampered house cat with open paws. He  simply adores receiving massages and basking in the undivided attention of his human companions.  Tim is easily entertained by looking at the birds and squirrels through windows. He also runs up and down the staircase and doesn’t mind some quality play time with a wand toy! He likes to end the day snuggled up in bed with his humans, his gentle rumbling purrs serving as a sleep soundtrack. Prior to adoption, all cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and microchipped. Story
Pickles is goofy, affectionate, outgoing, friendly, sweet, and snuggly, and loves tummy rubs and attention. He takes *very* easily to new folks and will be asleep on their lap within an hour of meeting them. As a senior cat, he needs more experienced care, but he is still active and spry. He's about 10 years old. Originally an indoor-outdoor farm cat, he's been an indoor housecat for ~4 years. He grew up around numerous other cats, he is best as a solo pet. Pickles has a sensitive tummy and will vomit on rare occasion. He also, on *very* rare occasion, may urinate on strong smelling/damp fabrics (We learned to hang our bathmats). Pickles also has dental disease and is missing a tooth from a prior injury. He would do well to have some further teeth removed. An ideal house for Pickles would be roomy, with places to climb up on and sun himself. Pickles does not scratch furniture if he has a scratching post. He loves mouse toys and catnip and will happily play with you for 20-30 min.

Hi there, I am looking for a job! I'm used to being an outdoor cat and I'm very good at rodent control and bug catching! I prefer not to interact with strangers initially, but luckily for me HSSV has a Garden Cat Adoption Program and is looking to find me a home or barn where we can live outside and be admired from afar. Once I'm comfortable in your yard or barn, we'll eventually make friends, but it'll take some time for me to trust you. Please schedule an appointment if you would like to take me home.Schedule Appointment Primary Color: Brown Tabby Age: 4yrs 0mths 0wks
