Story
Xena loves to be outside. Her ball is her pacifier that she wants to ALWAYS have with her, it is her favorite type of toy. She also likes to play fetch, tug of war, etc. with other toys. She responds to Xena or Come Here when being called. She does OK on a leash but could use some pull training. She is crate trained. Xena is a defensive eater, meaning she needs to eat alone and not around other dogs. Outside of eating she does like other dogs and will want to play with them. She does not do well with small children, and is generally cautious of most people, she is not offensive or aggressive with people but will remain distant and sometimes bark at specific people, she requires warming up and needs reassurance over time before she will trust a person. Once she does gain trust she will then act as a normal protective shepherd, but her default is having distance and feeling out your energy. After a couple months, she will like cuddling at night/morning and enjoys always being close

His injuries are being addressed by our vet and he's settling well into his foster home. Rambo may have had a rough start, but he is ready to find a loving forever home where he will be cherished. Personality: Rambo can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but once he warms up to you, he is incredibly loving and affectionate. Story
Max was rescued from a high-kill shelter where he was dumped by a family member after his owner passed away. This poor guy lost his owner, then lost his home. Max is a sweet friendly guy! Easy going, calm energy and full of love. He's a great partner to go on walks with and also watching tv. Max is intelligent, patient and well trained. Alert but gets along well with people! Loves to be pet and a great hugger. As a natural guardian dog, Max becomes protective of "his person" so would do best in a home that is experienced with his breed. Max is active, enjoys playing, and loves going on long walks. Max is in need of a loving foster home, or even better, a "Furever" home! Please submit an application if you're interested in meeting Max! Here's the link - http://aceofhearts.wufoo.com/forms/ace-of-hearts-adoption-application/
