Story
Lilly loves the company of people! Percolating with typical puppy energy at just a year old, she loves going on walks, chewing on her bones, and playing fetch. But her absolute favorite game is playing tug and she will rope you in for an energetic round any chance she gets! Lilly can feel uncertain around other dogs so she needs to be the only pup in the house, but she has been through lots of training and and can’t wait to show you how well she walks in heel. When it comes time to sniff, she knows 'free' and loves to explore fields and tall grassy areas where she often finds a nice long stick to claim as her own hidden treasure to carry around proudly. She knows all of her commands and is eager for someone willing to keep up with her training to keep her mentally and physically stimulated. She would do best in a home where someone is around frequently and due to her puppy energy, would prefer the company of older kiddos.  Lilly can be a bit timid at first, but offer her a treat and she'll be your best friend forever! Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a 'meet and greet' is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $300.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Story
Oaky is a 7 year old neutered GSD. He’s a very obedient, friendly, and energetic dog who unfortunately needs to be an only dog as he does not get along well with canine roommates. He’s good with cats and people and would do great as an only dog with active parents!    For more information, contact 978-319-3244 or ryan.d.jallad@gmail.com.     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Please contact the email listed in this post. August 20, 2024, 8:56 am

Story
Making the most of his second chance at life is sweet 2-month-old Mack. The tiny 10-pound white and black beauty, so loving and so gentle, adores the attention of his foster mom, crawling into her lap for cuddles and snuggles, resting his head on her and rolling over for belly rubs. When he’s not “glued” to her (he even sleeps up against her), he’s either faithfully following her around, curiously exploring his environment or eagerly engaging with his doggy foster friends who are his size and smaller. Respectful of the resident cats and never rushing at them, Mack loves chew toys and chewing on bones (he’s still teething) enjoys all treats, is motivated by food, toys and love, and because he learns very quickly, he already knows “come” and “no.” He’s only been leash walked around the backyard since he’s not fully vaccinated and is diligently at work on his crate and house-training. Now, with his whole life to live, lovable little Mack will do best in an especially loving home, perhaps with older respectful children and/or other friendly pets, and patient adopters to complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, both mentally and physically fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
0822281 - Nymeria is a sweet girl who loves to get pet and is very affectionate.  We think she is a shepherd/husky mix, she is 6-7 years old but she is still very energetic and playful.  She would love her new human to be active and get her out on walks, hikes and runs.  She also likes to play in the water.  She does okay with other dogs out of the home as long as they are more on the submissive side but would do best as the only dog in the home.  She would also do best in a home with older kids and loves her teenagers in her foster home.  Nymeria loves toys and can often be found with a ball in her mouth.  She is house and crate trained. She is very smart and treat motivated so with a little training the sky is the limit for this girl!  If you are interested in meeting her please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##1508274##

Story
0424080 - Little May is a bit shy, she is quiet and loving.  May and her sister have both learned to use the doggie door at their foster home.  They both get along with the 6 other dogs at the foster's house.  May likes to play with other dogs and she likes toys.  May has been crate-trained and also likes to go into the crate to nap during the day.  May is a sweet German Shepherd puppy with a loving, sweet spirit.  She is not comfortable on the leash yet, but her fosters are trying to help her learn that leashwalking can be fun!
