Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: BROCK Brock is a sweet boy who found himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. He was found as a stray in rural Georgia and then was brought in by animal control. He is a sweet guy, gets along with everyone he meets! ----------------------------------------------- BROCK is currently in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and urgently needs our help! He needs an ADOPTER or a temporary FOSTER home so he can catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. If nobody steps up for him, BROCK will be left behind in the shelter, and we don't want him to miss this important chance for a better life. Let's come together to give him the future he deserves! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Story
URGENT: Can you help me get my FREEDOM RIDE? I am currently in Texas awaiting my freedom ride to Wisconsin, but I need a FOSTER home or an ADOPTIVE home by JANUARY 18, 2025 to make the trip. Not all pups are lucky enough to get out but, with your help, I may just have that chance! Can YOU help me get to Wisconsin? Please apply online: www.HBWI.org. Klondike is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and sweet eyes to match. She’s affectionate, smart, and has an old soul that’s easy to love. Currently in her Texas foster home, Klondike is thriving—she’s friendly with other dogs and has a mellow temperament that makes her great with kids. Klondike is ready for the next chapter in Wisconsin, where she hopes to find the perfect family to give her the love and care she deserves. Klondike is ready to catch her freedom ride on January 18th, 2024—but she needs an approved FOSTER or ADOPTER to make the trip. Can you offer this gentle soul the forever (or foster!) home she’s been waiting for? Apply today! www.HBWI.org FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
