Story
Meet Gatsby! Gatsby is a super, happy, sweet, 2 1/2 month old baby boy who’s searching for his forever family. Gatsby is a typical playful, snuggly, sometimes sassy puppy. He enjoys playing with his toys, chewing on chew toys, chasing a ball and stealing the occasional shoe. After some fun play time, he’s ready for a cozy nap in a nice warm lap. Gatsby is good with other dogs and kids. Not sure about cats, but he’s a young boy so can likely be taught to live in harmony with feline siblings. Gatsby is microchipped, utd on age appropriate vaccines, flea/tick and heart worm prevention. His neuter is included in his adoption fee when he’s old enough. Gatsby is being fostered in West Bend. ***Gatsby is a puppy. His new family will need to teach him, with lots of love and patience to be the best boy he can be. To help with this, Wag N’ Purr Animal Rescue is offering a $50 reimbursement to any adopter who has adopted a pet from us after 1/1/2025, who can present a certificate of completion from a professional dog training program. We feel so strongly about the benefits of professional training, that we’ll pay you to do it! ***The breeds listed are our best guess based on the pet’s appearance. Most of our pets were strays. So do not know what breed they are. ***

Story
Diesel is a 9 year old shepherd/husky mix who is in need of a home where he can relax and get extra attention from his owners. Diesel originally came from an abusive situation so he suffers from anxiety and looks for comfort and calmness in his owners. He currently lives with another dog and gets along with some other dogs, however, due to his anxiety we are unsure of how he may react with other dogs so we have simply kept him away as he can take some time to warm up to them. We are unfortunately in need of rehoming him as our kids are causing his anxiety to be heightened. We simply don't have the time to work with him to allow for a safe environment. Due to this, he did bite our daughter. He is a relatively low energy dog (although he does love short walks) who needs an owner who can provide him with a calm home where he can recieve all the love and attention he deserves

The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 2/18/2025 Dog Name: Cooper Sex: Male Estimated Breed: German Shepherd/ Alaskan Malamute Mix Approximate Age: 6-7 years Approximate Weight: 100-110 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Neutered Description:  Cooper was rescued as a puppy in Texas, he is fully vetted and was well loved. He will let you hug and love him, he will play outside and keep your feet warm inside. He is a gentle giant and all dog and kid/people friendly! He is also very smart and housetrained! His family member and best friend is Roxie but they do not have to stay together.  Adoption Fee: $350We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 7, 2025, 10:37 pm

Story
Klondike is a 2-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle soul and sweet eyes to match. She’s affectionate, smart, and has an old soul that’s easy to love. Currently in her Texas foster home, Klondike is thriving—she’s friendly with other dogs and has a mellow temperament that makes her great with kids. Klondike is ready for the next chapter in Wisconsin, where she hopes to find the perfect family to give her the love and care she deserves. FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
