Story
**Shadow is currently in a foster home! Please call WCHS if you would like to make an appointment to meet him**·Intake Reason: Surrendered, chasing cats in previous home·Weight: 56 lbs My adoption fee has been generously sponsored by a member of the community! Now all I need is you!Known with: ·Cats: Will chase them, WCHS recommends a home w/ no cats ·Dogs: lived with multiple dogs in previous home, does well in WCHS playgroups ·Kids: Curious w/ 1 1/2 yr old when visiting in previous homeFun Facts About Me:•I am a shy guy with a tender soul and a ginormous heart with tons of love to give•I must confess that I fancy the ladies and am slow to warm up to men; I have, however, found a bestie with one of the male dog walkers•I have lots of energy and am quite the athlete; I have jumped a 4-foot fence to play with a neighbor dog•I could use some socialization and confidence building; perhaps we can try some canine sports, tricks training, nose work or dog parkour•Although I am cool with a crate, I had the luxury of choosing to sleep in my cozy bed, on the floor or even with my human in their bed•I am a playful dude who likes tennis balls and playing fetch•Since new situations and environments can make me nervous, I will be counting on you to keep me safe with a Martingale collar#2

Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: BROCK Brock is a sweet boy who found himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. He was found as a stray in rural Georgia and then was brought in by animal control. He is a sweet guy, gets along with everyone he meets! ----------------------------------------------- BROCK is currently in a high-kill shelter in Georgia and urgently needs our help! He needs an ADOPTER or a temporary FOSTER home so he can catch a ride with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin on Saturday, January 11th, 2025. If nobody steps up for him, BROCK will be left behind in the shelter, and we don't want him to miss this important chance for a better life. Let's come together to give him the future he deserves! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is s summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement.
