Whitney is a beautiful designer dane who is a love bug. She has had some training and is house crate and leash trained. She has lived with several dogs of all sizes, horses and adult humans. She is respectful of the baby gate and loves to sunbathe with the other dogs. Whitney is very sweet and well mannered.. her mom was a dane and dad a great Pyrenees/ schnauzer mix. A true southern bell she hates the cold! Because Whitney has no idea of her size we are looking for a home without children and other medium/large dogs. Whitney is available for adoption in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex Visit danerescue.net to find out more info about our adoption process and complete the adoption application.

Story
Amos McCoy, an old name for an old man (think of the 1950`s/60`s TV program `The Real McCoys). Amos is the oldest dog we have inGDRNT care, not in longevity, but in age, he has been in GDRNT for over a year, but he is 11 years old. This guy came to GDRNT suffering from bad ear infections and some skin funk… we have been battling this with him and our veterinarian. He was sent to a specialist, who tested him and the results showed that he was allergic to most everything in the environment... And so he was started on allergy shots and different antibotics, but his ear infections did not get any better. Finally the Speciality Vet came up with an antibotic solution that was packed down in the ear canal. Took two rounds of packing the ears, and we started seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. As he started feeling better from the ear infections, we noticed that he was having trouble getting up after laying down, and we started him on some shots for his arthritis (the boy is almost bouncing now some times). There was also a suggestion that we change his kibble... which we have settled on a single protein (Salmon), gluten free, GMO free, low glycemic, no corn, soy, or wheat kibble. And he is doing SO-O-O much better. His ear infections are down to just some yeast, which we are dealing with with a high dose of probiotics. Like we said at the start of this, he is estimated to be 11 years old, which means that he came to GDRNT, potty trained, crate trained, with house manners, and pet friendly. And while he loves a nap, he does well with kids, big dogs, small dogs, and cats! Amos is available for adoption in the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex. Story
Hi there! I`m an adorable, 86-pound furball who absolutely loves food and people. When I first got to my foster home, I was a bit skeptical of people and sudden moves freaked me out. But now, I`ve learned that most people are pretty cool and just want me to love on them. I`m sweet as can be, and I adore petting—don`t stop or I`ll annoy you to no end! I`ve also mastered the `go lay down` command and I`m pretty good about following it.I`m a big fan of going on walks, though there are a few things I`m not too keen on. Fast-moving objects like runners, bikers, and motorcycles make me nervous, so watch out! And if we encounter another dog on our walk, you`ll see me getting a bit anxious.I`m okay with my crate, especially if you entice me with a treat. I might whine a bit, but once you leave, I`ll settle down. Just remember, the crate is for when you`re gone—otherwise, I`m happy to be out and about. My foster mom doesn`t let me sleep on the bed, and while I understand, I`ve been known to sneak onto the couch when she`s not looking (shh, don`t tell her!).There are a couple of things I really don`t like: the vacuum and the lawnmower. I think they`re out to get me.But overall, I`m a loving and loyal companion who`s always ready for some affection and a good walk (as long as we avoid those fast-moving and four-legged things)!Abby is available for adoption in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. Story
Say hello to my little friend… Annika. A 4 year old fun loving sweet girl with the energy of a younger pup. Before she came into Rescue, she was dumped in a rural area just outside of DFW. Annika loves long walks on the beach (if you have one, but just in the neighborhood works well for her too), though that activity has had be be curtailed just a bit as she was heartworm positive, and has undergone treatment at one of our veterinarians. She loves loves loves her crate, and when told to “crate up”, it is, “Oh Boy, Oh Boy I can get in the crate!!!”. In fact when she first came to the foster home, she spent more than 90% of her time in the crate, door open, just her choice of places. She still chooses to spend time in the crate, but she is living life with the foster family more and more.Annika is VERY food motivated! And more than willing to eat her share, your share, their share… And if you have anything in your hand, in her mind, it must be a treat for her. Her manners are still those of a 1year old, not the 4 year old she is, and her foster family is working with her. With the right family, she will learn to be an even better behaved girl.Annika is available for adoption in the Dallas/FortWorth Metroplex. Happy Fun Easygoing Girl. MargaRITA loves her people. Is a little nervous of tall men especially ones wearing caps. She barks when the other dogs bark, but doesn`t seem to initiate. She is food motivated, but not aggressive., and will `help` finish off anyone else`s dinner, or try to assist them if they are a bit slow. Loves to play with lots of energy, and likes dog toys. Has learned the doggy door and has had 0 accidents in the house... Travels well in a car. Is learning to sit and seems very teachable.Rita is available for adoption in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex. Story
Gremlin is being fostered in NC. Howdy, I'm Gremlin, a 6 month old Great Dane, but don't worry, you CAN get me wet and I won't turn into Spike! I actually LOVE playing in water. My foster Mommy says I am a gentle giant, but I am still a baby and very playful. I need to learn my commands by touch because I cannot see or hear. And, well, I can be a little slower and I need repetitiveness with my training so I can be a very good boy. My foster Mommy is working with me on my manners, but I can be a bit slow because I have a great nose for food wherever it is heehee. It takes me a little time to navigate a new area, but I will get it, just be patient with me. Right now, I have a Cane Corso foster sister to play with and I love playing tug and wrestle with her. I am already potty and crate trained! When I wake in the morning, I will bark to let you know I has to go outside to do my business. I also walk well on a leash. The bestest thing I really love is to have my ears rubbed and to cuddle with humans. I don't know why they feel squished, after all, I'm the same size as a chihuahua aren't I LOL I just want my very own family to love me and guide me along my journey in this life. And, of course, to cuddle with furever. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
My name is Percy! I am a sweet young boy who is looking for my forever home! Could that be with you? My foster family has described me as a goofy teddy bear because I am always so happy, and like other puppies my age I love to play and run around! I am looking for an active family - I love to take a long walk in the morning as well as another walk in the afternoon or evening. I am an active boy and love to play and interact with my humans both inside and out in the yard. In fact, I would LOVE to have a yard! My foster family says I get great joy in running around and exploring the yard - its also so fun to run around out there when I get my zoomies. While I can entertain myself I would do best in a home with a similar aged playmate! I do well with other dogs (I get so excited when meeting them!), but I have not had any interactions with cats. I am a sweet natured boy and my foster family calls me their little shadow-I love to follow my foster family around and be with them! I give lots of love to my humans too. You will definitely get lots of licks from me! I love to play and chew my toys (tennis balls and squeaky toys are my favorites), and really love interactive play with my humans! If I sound like the right boy for you, please submit an application. I can't wait to meet you! Story
Meet Annistyn, the Majestic Alpha Great Dane! Hey there, dog lovers!  We are thrilled to introduce you to Annistyn, our beautiful and lively six year old Great Dane in search of her forever home. Annistyn is the epitome of grace and strength. She's a stunning, sweet, and loving girl who adores being around her humans. She's a natural-born Alpha, ready to lead her pack with love and loyalty. This majestic girl is known for her impressive jumps, so make sure you have a tall fence to keep her safe and secure while she enjoys her playtime. Annistyn is the life of the party, and she gets along splendidly with dogs Labrador-sized and larger. She loves to make new friends and share her exuberance with them. However, Annistyn does have a strong prey drive and is not a good fit for households with cats or small animals. She's house trained and crate trained, which makes her an all-around good girl. We're looking for an experienced Great Dane owner who can provide Annistyn with the love and guidance she deserves. If you think you're the right match for this magnificent lady, please get in touch with us! Let's give Annistyn the forever home she's been waiting for. Please like, comment and share me so I can go home to my forever family soon!! White Kisses requires all dogs to be in training within thirty days of adoption. Training is crucial for puppies to learn lifelong skills and to understand their place in the family pack. It is also essential part of us getting to know each other and to help me become a well mannered adult GREAT Dane!  For more information about White Kisses adoption process and an application please visit www.whitekissesgreatdanerescue.com/adopt ##1199719##

Hey y'all, my name is Ava Marie and I am looking for my forever couch! Story
Hi everybody. My name is Adeline, I am a Double Merle female and am about seven years young! I am Deaf and mostly Vision Impaired but that does not keep me from being a fantastic Dane. I get along with cats and dogs as long as everyone stays out of my face. Sometimes it takes me a second to realize someone else is right next to me. I would like a fabulous couch to hang out on and a consistent routine at home! You know how some folks are not good with change, well me too! I am learning to navigate the stairs with my wonderful foster mama and soaking up all the love and attention I can get! The folks here tell me I need to be in training within 30 days of my adoption. Basic training is essential for us to learn about each other and to help me become a lovely relaxed Dane! Story
Xena is a sanctuary Dane with White Kisses and is not up for adoption. Xena is deaf & has limited sight, she is about 6 years old. She is a sweet girl but she is extremely scared of people, being handled and has separation anxiety. We are working on her socialization and basic commands. She is in a wonderful foster home, getting along with other cats and dogs, living her best life! White Kisses GDR has a very small program for non adoptable Danes. All of our Sanctuary gentle giants have disabilities or are Double Merles. Due to behavior or medical they are not adoptable and will stay with WK for the rest of their lives. We are committed to spoil and love them like they deserve and provide all medical care they need. We have no extra consistent funding for these gentle giants nor their food and medical bills. These needs are solely funded by White Kisses GDR. If you would like to help and sponsor any of our sanctuaries or send any toys, blankets, bed or dog supplies you can do so at www.whitekissesgreatdanerescue.com/donateOur gentle giants and WK family truly appreciates your support and kindness.  ##1199733##
