Story
Meet Milk – Your Loyal, Playful, and Loving Companion!Milk is a sweet, affectionate pup searching for her forever home! This resilient girl was found injured as a stray, but after lots of love and care, she’s made a full recovery and is ready to start her next adventure—with you! She’s a playful and social pup who thrives with bigger dogs and enjoys having a canine friend, though she can be a bit picky with smaller dogs. She has been living on a farm with goats, llamas, other guardian livestock dogs and doing great - she'd love to continue that if possible. Milk has met dog-savvy cats but has a strong chase instinct, so a cat-free home might be best.Milk absolutely adores people! She greets new friends with happy tail wags and enthusiastic kisses, making her a wonderful companion. Since she can get excited and jump up, a home with older children (7+) would be ideal. She’s crate-trained, housetrained, and has a medium energy level—ready for playtime but also happy to relax with her humans. She can be a little nervous in new situations and finds car rides stressful, so she’ll need a patient owner to help her feel secure. As a typical Great Pyrenees, Milk has an adventurous spirit and will explore beyond her yard if given the chance. A secure 6-foot fence is a must for this girl! She also loves being outside in the colder months—her fluffy coat makes her a true winter lover.Milk is looking for a patient, loving family who will help her build confidence and give her the happy, secure life she deserves. A canine playmate would be a bonus, but her biggest wish is for a family to call her own.A farm setting or fenced yard (6 ft) is what we believe this dog needs as a start - if you have extenuating circumstance but breed experience, we would definitely love to hear from you.Name: MilkBreed: Great PyreneesSex: FemaleAge: 2-3 years (estimated)Weight: 65lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 7Good with Dogs: Selective with small dogs only - great with dogs her sizeGood with Cats: Selective - okay with some cats.Adoption Fee: $550.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently: Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
