Story
Meet Snow Bella – A Gentle Soul Seeking her Forever Home Snow Bella is currently in foster care, looking for a forever home where she can begin to bond with her family. Though a bit shy and reserved, Snow Bella is a calm, gentle companion who bonds deeply with her people and loves spending time with her goat friends. If another animal ventures too close to them, she quickly springs into action to keep them safe! Bella has just begun meeting the other dogs in her foster family. With a gentle, watchful nature, she’s learning to feel comfortable around new friends and environments at her own pace. While she hasn't yet tried to play with the big dog she’s met, she’s curious and open to learning. Though cautious at first, she loves attention from people she trusts and absolutely adores belly and ear rubs! Recently, Snow Bella has discovered the joy of chew toys and enjoys zooming around. She’s not a fan of bland dog treats but lights up for meaty ones. She’s always gentle and calm, and even when scared, has never shown any signs of aggression. Snow Bella is crate-shy and prefers spending her time outdoors, where she can roam and watch over her surroundings. She’s happiest in a space with plenty of room to explore, especially since she was found with her puppies under a shed on a large, quiet property. However, she is also a wonderful housemate, with perfect manners and no accidents indoors. Snow Bella’s foster family is helping her learn basic commands like "stay" and "come," and she’s adapting well to walking on a leash. She stays close, content to follow her person as they lead. Exercise is essential to her well-being, so an active, spacious home where she can thrive is her dream. If you think Snow Bella could be the perfect fit for your family,, please click the Adoption Application button below my bio on the rescue website, here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/12521 Please note - Due to home introductions that are part of the adoption process, we can only accept applications for interested parties who are in or near North County San Diego County, California, at this time.

Story
Courtesy post. Anyone looking to adopt a loving female husky? 6 years old, can do well with other dogs after knowing she’s safe and bonds but she does need very slow and proper introductions, would do well, a dog who can respect her boundaries and give her space or a home with no dogs would be good too. Any questions feel free to message me. She’s a Soulful Eyes Rescue pup

Story
How this pet arrived: Chappell was brought in by Humane Law Enforcement on August 4th, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Chappell, a fun-loving girl with a big personality! Chappell is all about her people and absolutely adores pets, treats and chasing after tennis balls. She's a smart girl who knows how to "sit" and "lay down", walks well on leash and is food motivated. Her missing eye doesn't slow her down - and we think it makes her even more endearing! This cutie is happiest when she's the center of your attention, so she's looking for a home where she can be the only pet - no other furry friends, please! Chappell prefers to keep her adventures one-on-one with her favorite humans, so she isn't a candidate for off-leash venues or dog parks. Whether it's playing fetch or snuggling up for some quality time, Chappell is ready to be your loyal and loving companion! If you're looking for a new best friend who's sure to brighten your days, come by our Oceanside Campus and meet Chappell today! How this pet arrived: Chiquita was brought in by her previous owner on June 13, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you: Look at those eyes! Meet Chiquita, a gorgeous girl who is more than ready to find her new home. Chiquita can be shy with new people and situations, but with patience and understanding she is sure to come out of her shell. Her perfect little eyebrows may look like a makeup artist did them, but they are all natural! Chiquita is looking for a cat-free house without the hustle and bustle of younger children (ages 10+). Chiquita may do best as an only dog; However, if you do have another calm canine in the home then make sure to bring them along for a meet and greet so that we can ensure a good fit! She is an active lady who loves play time and her daily walks. She loves the water and is always down for a good game of fetch! If you're interested in adding a companion to your family, grab a collar and leash and come meet Chiquita! At SDHS:Chiquita is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Story
How this pet arrived: Milo was brought in by his previous owner on December 21, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Milo, a spirited and active dog who's always ready for an adventure! Milo is incredibly smart - so smart, in fact, that he's figured out how to open lever-style doors! He loves to play and thrives on mental and physical challenges that keep his busy mind engaged; a busy boy is an enriched boy! Milo can get a little carried away with his excitement and needs a family who can help him channel his energy productively. He tends to guard items he deems valuable, like food, so he'll do best in a home with adults or children over 10 who can respect his boundaries. Milo has had mixed experiences with other dogs, so any canine siblings should meet him first to ensure a good fit. With the right home, Milo is sure to bring endless fun and affection to your life. Make sure to bring the entire household down to speak with our trainers and bring Milo home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 57.2 Age: 1yrs 2mths 4wks

How this pet arrived:Martin was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on July 7, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Martin! Martin is a sweet and energetic boy who has so much love to give! He's an excellent leash walker, making him the perfect companion for outdoor adventures. Martin thrives as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. In the past, he's displayed some destructive behaviors when left home alone and bored, so he'll need plenty of mental and physical enrichment to keep him happy and satisfied; after all, an enriched pup is a happy, content pup! With the right care and stimulation, Martin will be a loyal and loving addition to your family. If you're ready to give Martin the active and fulfilling life he deserves, he's ready to be your best friend! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 49.2 Age: 5yrs 6mths 2wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Lobito was brought in by a community member on December 28, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:If you're seeking a dog with enough energy to rival a triple espresso, look no further! Lobito is a vibrant, charismatic fellow who could power a small town with his zest for life. Couch potatoes, beware-this is not your guy. Lobito thrives on activity, adventure, and plenty of mental and physical challenges to keep his sharp mind engaged. He's a social ambassador, making fast friends with dogs of all sizes-small, large, and every pup in between-and he's even cool with cats! However, Lobito's thrill-seeking ways have landed him in a bit of a pickle. He's currently sporting a fractured front leg, which he got while finding his own fun. Don't worry, though-this setback hasn't dulled his spirit one bit. He's rocking a splint with plans to heal over the next 4-8 weeks, though surgical repair may be needed if things don't go as planned. Daily splint checks and short leash walks are part of his recovery regimen, and he'll need puzzle toys and brain games to channel his energy while he's sidelined. Recheck x-rays will be needed on/around 1/25/24. (Splint changes and x-rays can be performed at SDHS or with your regular veterinarian). Lobito is on the lookout for a partner who can match his enthusiasm and offer him the structure he needs to thrive. No backyard-alone entertainment for this guy-he'll simply take it as a challenge to find his own fun. Instead, he's hoping for someone who enjoys mental stimulation, creative playtime, and lots of love. If you're ready for the adventure (and splint maintenance), bring a leash and a martingale collar, and let Lobito be the spark that brightens your life!
