Story
Frankie is a huskydoodle. She’s so sweet, playful, cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely fluffy as heck. We love her. When we took her in we knew she had some behavioral stuff - cowering away from strangers, quiet growls at other animals etc. - she was rescued from an abusive home. We were so so willing to be patient with her while she adjusted. She’s improved soo much! But its been 2 yrs now and the tension between her and my kitties has reached a breaking point for me, she lunged at my sweet old man cat and my heart just broke for him. She truly just needs to be an only pet, she deserves the peace too. I feel like I’m doing everyone in my home a disservice by not being able to ease her anxiety being around other animals. She plays great with my 6 year old and always has since we first adopted her when he was barely 4, but she does a soft low growl around my 12 month old. I’ve toiled over this choice for such a long time, I’m trying so hard to do the right thing for everyone.

Story
Hello, meet Kaia! Kaia is a 7mo old female Husky/Aussie mix that I adopted from DFL a little over 2mo ago. Throughout our time together, Kaia has come such a long way in coming out of her shell and becoming a fine young lady. On initial introductions, she is timid, but not fearful or aggressive, however once she gets over that hump, she lets her full husky/aussie personality out to play! She has absolutely loved camping, playing/swimming in the water, going on walks, and chasing balls/frisbees. However, Kaias greatest love is meeting and playing with other dogs! The reason I am considering putting Kaia up for rehoming is because I have come to realize that she deserves a larger space than I can provide, and she 100% needs to be in a home with other dogs. Kaias best self comes out when shes around other dogs, as it seems to truly make her the most happy version of herself, and she even seems to be calmer and more wanting human affection. I will only consider this environment 4 rehome

Story
Meet Poncho – Your Adventure-Loving Best Friend! Poncho is a sweet and goofy Husky/Shepherd mix who is full of love and always ready for an adventure! This big-hearted boy adores people and soaks up every bit of attention and affection he can get. Whether it’s exploring new trails, going for walks, or splashing in the waves at the beach, Poncho is the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle. In his foster home, Poncho has made incredible progress. When he first arrived, he struggled with severe separation anxiety and couldn’t be left alone. Thanks to the patience and dedication of his foster dad, Poncho is now able to stay home comfortably for short periods of time—he’s come a long way! Poncho gets along well with other large dogs but isn’t a fan of small dogs, so he’d do best in a home without any pint-sized pups. He thrives in an active household where someone is home most of the time to give him the attention he craves. Poncho is also known to be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure home and yard are a must to keep this curious explorer safe. With no medical issues and a playful spirit, Poncho is ready to find his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’s always up for an adventure, Poncho is your guy! Apply today to meet this wonderful pup and start your journey together!

Story
Say hello to Cumin, a sweet husky mix with a courageous heart and calm demeanor. At three years young, this former sled dog has embraced a life of adventure but is ready to find a comfy forever home with a new human best friend. Though living indoors is a little confusing to him, Cumin is showing a lot of courage and willingness to learn the ropes of cozy living among loving humans. This gentle giant is incredibly kind and sweet with all humans and dogs. He loves an outdoor adventure but is always down to just chill and hang out, too. Navigating his new world with a thoughtful pace, Cumin seeks a patient and loving human to show him the joys of pet life. A spacious, fenced yard would be a dream come true for this guy. Cumin's genial nature makes him a friend to all humans and canine companions alike, though he holds a special fondness for fellow large dogs, finding small ones perplexing for now. Trust may not come immediately for Cumin, but once earned, he’ll be your loyal lifelong companion. His sled-pulling days have left him with incredible strength, so Cumin is searching for an athletic companion who’s dedicated to keeping him under control while he learns leash manners. Cumin’s favorite treat is a slice of cheese, which will help fast-track your way into his heart and encourage his loving personality to really blossom! For the right home, Cumin will be more than just a pet; he’ll be a lifelong companion. If you're a patient soul looking for a gentle, attentive partner, Cumin promises to be your furever friend through every season of life. ##1974536##
