With his gorgeous red/mahogany colored coat and distinguishing markings, he does appear to have a sprinkle of husky or some type of snow dog and a little Shepherd like his mom. Wasabi’s happiness is contagious and he is sure to bring countless smiles to his new forever family. He’s a friendly and social little pup who gets along wonderfully with both humans and other dogs. Wasabi has a medium-ish energy level, striking a perfect balance between playful adventures and cozy cuddles. His new family should be prepared to assist with house and leash training and to expose him to a variety of experiences to help him grow into a well-rounded adult dog. Frankie is a huskydoodle. She’s so sweet, playful, cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely fluffy as heck. We love her. When we took her in we knew she had some behavioral stuff - cowering away from strangers, quiet growls at other animals etc. - she was rescued from an abusive home. We were so so willing to be patient with her while she adjusted. She’s improved soo much! But its been 2 yrs now and the tension between her and my kitties has reached a breaking point for me, she lunged at my sweet old man cat and my heart just broke for him. She truly just needs to be an only pet, she deserves the peace too. I feel like I’m doing everyone in my home a disservice by not being able to ease her anxiety being around other animals. She plays great with my 6 year old and always has since we first adopted her when he was barely 4, but she does a soft low growl around my 12 month old. I’ve toiled over this choice for such a long time, I’m trying so hard to do the right thing for everyone.

Hello, meet Kaia! Kaia is a 7mo old female Husky/Aussie mix that I adopted from DFL a little over 2mo ago. Throughout our time together, Kaia has come such a long way in coming out of her shell and becoming a fine young lady. On initial introductions, she is timid, but not fearful or aggressive, however once she gets over that hump, she lets her full husky/aussie personality out to play! She has absolutely loved camping, playing/swimming in the water, going on walks, and chasing balls/frisbees. However, Kaias greatest love is meeting and playing with other dogs! The reason I am considering putting Kaia up for rehoming is because I have come to realize that she deserves a larger space than I can provide, and she 100% needs to be in a home with other dogs. Kaias best self comes out when shes around other dogs, as it seems to truly make her the most happy version of herself, and she even seems to be calmer and more wanting human affection. I will only consider this environment 4 rehome
