Story
We have had Zander since he was 8 weeks old, and as a family we are very sad for him to leave but I feel like our current situation is unfair for him. There was divorce and we moved into an apartment and I am working 60+ hours a week and he is in his crate for way too long. Zander likes to think he is a lap dog and lives to cuddle. I have 6 kids ages 5-20 and he is good with all of them. He has had some training he did 2 weeks at K9 off leash. But he prob needs a refresher he is a “teenager”, he is 3 his birthday is November 15

Story
Adopted pet from Gwinnett Animal Shelter. She is too energetic for us. She is 3 years old and at the time we were told she was 6-year-old. We had lost our other dog in January and wanted more of a lap dog for companionship. She would be a great dog for a runner or possibly a hiker. She loves the outdoors and runs like a greyhound. She is loving but has too much puppy. She has been trained in the basic commands. We feel like we are doing a disservice to her.

Story
Little Guy is a sweet, spoiled boy that likes nothing better than spending time with his people. He would be a wonderful pup to go hiking with on leash. He and his brother, Dozer, are avid critter chasers and will dig after those critters if not watched. The Husky in him means he needs to stay on a leash but the lab does calm him down some. He still has a lot of puppy in him but has outgrown the worst puppy traits. He also doesn’t mind his crate for short periods and sees it as a safe spot to take a nap. He loves children but may be a bit much for some very small children. He loves to give kisses and attention and small children are the right size to be face to face for those kisses. He also thinks he is a lap dog at times and loves snuggling on the couch. Little Guy can be a little shy around other new dogs and may take a little warming up, he has been around many different foster dogs though. He is on the smaller size, thus his name. If you are looking for a very loyal, loving smaller sized pup then Little Guy may be the perfect addition to your family. The boys have had all of their vaccines, been microchipped and neutered and on monthly flea/heartworm prevention. If you are interested, please fill out an application at www.mushrescue.com or email adopt@mushrescue.com with any questions.

Story
Noel is our special needs girl but we know she has the perfect home out there. She has been diagnosed with a neurological condition that causes her to walk a little differently on occasion and affects her temperament periodically. Noel is expected to live a long happy life, her diagnosis does not impact her life expectancy. She can be somewhat unpredictable and was unsocialized as a puppy so needs to be an only dog in the house. Noel loves her food and her sleep and doesn’t like to be bothered during those times. She is housebroken and crate trained, she LOVES her crate. Noel’s new family would be required to have a fenced yard as she loves to run. They would also be required to provide her with endless toys! She loves loves loves her toys and doesn’t shred them, rather treats them like her babies. Noel will need to have annual neurological exams. She’s a sweet girl and deserves a home of her own. She is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. For more information, please email adopt@mushrescue.com or complete an application https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/

Story
Everyone, meet "Lady". Her foster mom describes her as a doll! Lady needs someone or a family who enjoys cuddling - she is very affectionate and loves being close to you. She also requires an owner with an active lifestyle! Lady has a great amount of energy! She is good with kids but may accidentally knock over a smaller child. Interestingly, she adores smelling flowers! Her love for people in general is truly precious! Lady is currently being potty trained, taught manners, and receiving her puppy vaccines. Is Lady the puppy for you? Please note that we receive a high volume of applications and appreciate your patience as we process them. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis. To complete the adoption process, you will need to fill out an application, attend a pet meet-and-greet, undergo a home visit, and have a strong veterinary/animal care history. The adoptive family will also need to ensure that Lady receives her puppy shots and provide proof of spaying/neutering if it has not been done before adoption. Raising a puppy requires a significant amount of time and commitment. Please ensure that your schedule can accommodate a puppy, as it will be a cherished member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. Story
Haven is a very sweet, beautiful, laid-back girl. She was picked up by Animal Control as a stray, and we can only imagine how scary that was for her, as she is blind. She has done great in her foster home and is learning various voice commands to help with her blindness. She was heartworm positive, but we have now treated her, and she is doing great. She is an extremely laid-back girl who wants nothing but to snuggle and go on walks. She is fine on car rides and can walk pretty well on a leash, especially since she is blind. She does have a little bit of sight in one of her eyes but does not have any depth perception. However, we have been working on the command "down" whenever she goes downstairs and "up" whenever she goes upstairs. She is in a foster home with other dogs and doesn't react very much to them, but introductions to other dogs will have to be taken very slowly, as she gets scared. Her blindness does not stop her at all. She is just a sweet old soul. We think she is around two years old, up-to-date on shots, and spayed. She is housebroken and has not once had an accident in her crate. She loves her crate, her safe spot, and loves to sleep on her back. Story
Hi, my name is Piper! I am approximately two years old. I have the ears and tail of a Husky, but the other 90% of me is pretty much a retriever. I love to run and play with the four other puppies I live with, and I can hike for 10 miles if you are looking for an energetic companion! I love everyone I meet, I play great with other dogs, I’ve learned to walk on a leash, and I am now 90% housebroken! Almost there!! I am young and love to jump, so I might not be a good fit for hikes with young children. I also have a strong interest in birds, deer, squirrels, and anything that runs around in the area I currently live, so I doubt I would be good with cats. I am crate-trained and can relax in my crate all day. But, when it’s time to go outside, I can easily jump a 4-foot fence, I’m a very athletic puppy! I sound awesome because I am! If you are looking for a happy, energetic, playful companion, I’d love to meet you! 🐾 For more information please email adopt@mushrescue.com Application: https://mushrescue.com/prospective-owner-application/
