Story
10-2023 Max is a 4 yr. old, male Husky - Pomeranian mix, aka a Pomsky. Max weighs 35 lbs. Max carries a lot of husky traits, one of which, he is an escape artist! Max is energetic, active, strong, and playful. He loves toys and going for walks. He can be dog reactive, particularly large breed dogs; we have been working on this, he is getting better. Max thinks cats are for chasing, not uncommon for a husky! Max would be OK for a family dog, but only older kids, teens and up, no children under 10 years old. Max is fine in the car as long as he is restrained by doggie seatbelt, or crate, otherwise he is jumping from seat to seat! Max would love to have a securely fenced yard, with a fence 5 feet or taller, to run and round and play, but a fenced yard is not a requirement. Max has the energy of a puppy, so be ready to take multiple walks, runs each day. A well exercised dog is a good dog! If you are interested in adopting Max, please go to our website to complete our application form: www.chicagolandeskierescue.com

Story
Are you a kind, patient dog lover with a heart for rescue? Finn needs you! Rescued from a horrific hoarding and neglect situation, Finn and his brother Koda endured domestic violence, abandonment, and extreme neglect. They relied on each other for comfort when there was no food, water, or care, and were occasionally fed and loved by compassionate neighbors. Finn and Koda both suffer from separation anxiety, making them in need of a special adopter who has patience, empathy, and a strong desire to help them heal. These boys thrive when they are with their people, always wanting to stay within sight. They are affectionate cuddle bugs who love to snuggle, kiss, and relax on the couch. However, when left alone, their anxiety spikes, and they require medication to help them cope. With medication, they can handle being kenneled. Despite our best efforts, we haven't been able to find a home willing to adopt both brothers together. To increase their chances of finding a loving home, we are now listing them separately. However, if you can adopt both, Love You More is willing to waive one of the adoption fees. If you're ready to welcome one or both of these sweet boys into your loving and patient family, please call, text, or email us to set up a meet and greet. Let's give Koda and Finn the home and security they deserve!

Story
FAST FACTS:*1 and a Half Year Old, 34 Pounds*Sweet, Loving, Gentle, Smart*Medium Playful Energy*People Friendly *Dog Friendly*Potty Trained*Crate Trained*Recovering From Heartworm Treatment*Training RequiredBIO:Hi all, I'm Pita, another Texas gal found as a stray and brought to an overcrowded shelter. Since Texas has the highest rate of animal euthanasia in the nation, I consider myself lucky indeed to have been rescued by FTF and brought to Chicago to find my forever home. My foster mom says I'm a sweet and loving pooch whose favorite things are giving hugs and kisses and getting lots of pets. I've discovered how much fun it is to go on walks. My leash manners are improving by the day, and I'm quite the social butterfly, always interested in meeting new people and pooches of all ages and sizes. While car rides were a new experience for me, I'm getting the hang of being the backseat navigator (everyone needs one of those-right?!). As I recover from heartworm treatment, I do need to be kept calm until cleared by the vet. But I can't wait for the day when I can be more active-perhaps joining you on long hikes and/or jogs. A few final facts about me. I'm potty trained, settle quickly in my crate, and don't chew on anything that doesn't belong to me. My weak point is food possessiveness. My foster mom is working with me with that, and I'm doing better. With your continued help, and the obedience classes you'll sign us up for (required for all young FTF pups), I know I'll break that bad habit in no time. So this is what you can expect if you adopt me into your home-a loving and gentle canine companion who will give you more love and happiness than you could ever imagine. Interested? Then please complete an adoption application and schedule a meet and greet. I believe we're destined to have a wonderful life together! Love and licks, PitaIf you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
