Story
Meet Shebah; A Loving Siberian Husky in Need of a New Home It breaks my heart to write this, but due to my newborns allergies, I need to find a loving home for my beautiful white Siberian Husky, Shebah. Shebah is an amazing companion, affectionate, and great with children and other dogs. She is house-trained, well-mannered, and knows tons of commands (though in true Husky fashion, she can be a little stubborn at times!). Shebah is a chill dog who loves lounging around the house. While she enjoys walks and running, she doesn't require a ton of exercise to be happy. She s independent but also loves affection from her humans. However, she does not get along with cats or small animals like ferrets, so a home without them would be best. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and easygoing companion, Shebah would be a wonderful addition to your family. I want to make sure she goes to a caring home where she'll be loved as much as I love her. If you're interested please reach out

Meet Nina, a stunning dog with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She’s an energetic and affectionate companion who enjoys the company of other dogs and does well on a leash.Nina came to us after she and her canine friend repeatedly wandered off in pursuit of the neighbor’s livestock, so she will need a home without chickens, sheep, or cats. She thrives in an active environment and would love a family that can match her enthusiasm for adventure. If you’re looking for a smart, lively dog to join you on walks, hikes, or playtime in the yard, Nina could be the perfect fit. Come meet her at Burlington Animal Services and see if she’s the right match for you.

Story
Meet Forest! Forest is the absolute happiest boy in the world! He loves to explore, cuddle with his people and play with his dog-friends. Forest is a young guy who can't wait to find his forever family. Picked up as a stray, he was rescued from the shelter right before his last day.  Forest was heartworm positive, but has started treatment and is on the way to perfect health. If he had his way, he wouldn't let anything slow him down! Forest would love a family that can help him be the best dog he can be! He has to take it easy for a few months until he is cleared medically, but after that a family that can take him on regular walks or even jogs or hikes would be amazing! Forest has never been taught any obedience, but he is willing to learn and eager to please. He's started learning to walk on a leash, and basic commands like "sit" and "down". Forest is doing great in the house and is a perfect boy in his crate.  He loves cuddling with his stuffed toys, and likes to chase balls and other toys, but hasn't quite figured out games like fetch. Forest would love having another dog in the home to play with, but would also be fine hogging all the attention to himself.  Please e-mail arsw@arcticrescue.com for more information on adopting.  Can't adopt Forest but love his goofy personality and want to help? Please consider donating to his vet care (vaccines, preventive care, neuter, and heartworm treatment). You can donate via PayPal (paypal.me/arcticrescuesw) or directly to our veterinarian (Downtown Greensboro Animal Hospital).   March 13, 2025, 11:09 am

Story
Introducing Nikina! Aka Niki. Niki is a truly amazing dog. She was found wet, muddy and abandoned, but would never let that dampen her spirit! She can maintain her bubbly personality throughout anything.  This sweet girl LOVES to run zoomies in the yard with her doggy friends...but she also LOVES to snuggle up with you on the couch and watch some tv!  Niki is everything you could ask for in a dog. She is great in the house, perfect in a kennel, knows basic obedience, and walks well on leash. She would do great with an active family that can take her on all sorts of adventures, but she doesn't need to be doing something all the time. She's completely fine with supporting you on those days you just need to take it easy!  Niki is up to date on all of her vaccines, takes her preventive meds like a champ and is spayed and microchipped.  Get in touch with us at arsw@arcticrescue.com to add Niki to your family today!March 13, 2025, 11:09 am
