Story
Squirrel is an energetic and interactive little girl looking for a forever home.  Found as a stray with her brother Moose, she is eager to learn and have new experiences. She loves people and is working hard to learn how to make new friends! Squirrel will need a family that can help her grow up and learn all the things a great dog needs to know. Squirrel has started crate and house training and is doing amazing. We expect that she will pick up basic obedience skills quickly, especially with a family of her very own! Squirrel has had his first round of vaccinations and deworming, and has been started on her regular heartworm/flea/tick prevention.  If you've been looking for a new best friend to add to your family, e-mail us at arsw@arcticrescue.com to get more information and fill out an adoption application! Story
Lexie is an adorable girl in need of a forever home. Lexie spent the first two years of her life in a loving home, but after her owner suffered from strokes leaving them unable to care for her, she found herself in need of a new family.  Lexie is a sweet dog who loves people and gets along with other dogs. She is a little shy at first but tries hard to please people. She is crate trained and house trained. She has not had much experience walking on a leash but with some proper encouragement we're expecting her to figure it out quickly.  Lexie would love a home with a family able to spoil her the way she deserves! Lexie is up to date on her vaccines, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipped and spayed. If you think Lexie would be an amazing fit for your family, please e-mail us at arsw@arcticrescue.com for more information and to fill out an adoption application.  You can find more of Lexie's photos here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.796818015993215&type=3August 10, 2024, 9:38 pm

All of our volunteers work or go to school so you may not hear back from your inquiry for a couple of days. If you are searching for a dog to adopt TODAY, we suggest visiting an open animal shelter.  If you fill out an adoption application please know that we are looking to provide the best fit for your family. If you apply for a specific dog but you are not a good fit for that dog we will provide recommendations for other available dogs that may be a good fit for your family. We require references and due to Covid-19 are conducting all home visits virtually.
