Story
Hello, I`m Indie! I`m a young, energetic spirit, always ready to play. I`m still a young pup with not much of a history to tell. I really like people and treats though. My tail wags faster than a hummingbird`s wings when I meet new friends. I`m smart too, quickly learning new tricks and commands. I`m not sure about cats or children yet, but I would likely do ok with children, though I could knock over little ones. I`m vocal, not shy to express my feelings. When I`m not playing, I love to cuddle. My friendly nature and love for fun make every day an adventure. I may be just the companion you`re looking for. Adopt me and let`s create sweet memories together.

Story
Hi, I’m Mika—a 3-year-old Husky mix with a story to tell. My past hasn’t been an easy one. I was found in Nunavut, outdoors, neglected, and pregnant. Despite it all, I gave my puppies everything they needed, and now they’re all safe and have found loving homes. Now it’s my turn. I made the long trip to Toronto with hope that 2025 will be my year—a new year, and a new chance at a better life filled with love and belly rubs. I’ve been waiting for this moment—to show someone just how much love I have to give, if only I’m given the chance. Here’s what you need to know about me: • I’m a master counter surfer. You’ve been warned – hide the snacks! • Cats and small animals (like birds, hamsters and rabbits) are a definite no-go for me. • I’m still polishing my leash manners but I’m eager to learn and practicing with my foster mom. I’m a total cuddlebug, and despite my size, I firmly believe laps were made for dogs like me. Belly rubs, though? That’s where I really shine. Scratch my belly, and you’ll win my heart forever. My foster mom says I’m pretty quiet most of the time, but if you play She’s So High by Tal Bachman, I might just sing along—it’s my all-time favourite. Now, about other dogs. I lived with lots of pups in Nunavut and get along great with my foster sister. But I’ve been a bit picky lately, especially with male dogs, so if you already have a pup, we’ll need to take introductions slow. I’m not a fan of the downtown hustle and bustle, and dream of a home that’s in a quieter neighbourhood—where I can enjoy peaceful walks, cozy nights in, and endless belly rubs. If you’ve got room in your life (and your lap) for a once-in-a-lifetime dog like me, don’t wait—apply to adopt me today at www.teamdogrescue.ca/adoptables. I’m ready to start making memories with you.

Story
Rory / Spayed Female / 5 Years old / Northern Mix Breed / 65 pounds / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes / Meet Rory, a playful and energetic 5-year-old Manitoba dog who came to us through another rescue. She came with her 10 puppies but has weaned them and is now looking for her own forever family! Rory is a confident and curious girl who loves balls, sticks, treats, and, of course, dinner time—she’s very food-motivated! She enjoys playing with other dogs and is especially fond of stalking squirrels, a true northern dog at heart. Rory is a cuddle connoisseur and will happily snuggle up for belly rubs after a fun walk or run. She’s great with kids and cats, and also enjoys dog puzzles to keep her sharp. Although shy with men at first, Rory warms up quickly and is a super love bug. She’s affectionate, smart, and friendly, with a great nature. She loves her car rides, is good in her crate (sleeping through the night without barking), and is working hard on her recall, sitting before meals, and leash manners. Rory would thrive in an active home with a family who enjoys regular walks, hikes, or even running—she loves burning energy! She’s a bit of an escape artist, so a secure yard is essential. Rory is ready to be your loving, energetic companion, and would make an amazing addition to an active, caring family. Rory is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She is being fostered in North York. Apply to Adopt! https://forms.gle/kmiWLVAQ83Gdemg47

Story
Adele / Spayed Female / 1.5 Year old / 50 pounds / Dogs: Yes / Cats: No / Kids: Yes / Adele, or “Delly” as her foster affectionately calls her, is a 1.5-year-old Northern Mix from our friends at Northern Reach Network. When Adele first arrived, she was a scared, anxious, and underweight dog, having already been through the hardship of having a litter of puppies. Since then, she’s blossomed into a playful, affectionate, and sweet dog who is eager to bond with her people. Adele absolutely loves other dogs and would do well with a more mature dog to help her burn off energy and guide her as she continues to build her confidence. This super smart, curious, and adventurous girl is full of love. She’s especially fond of toys—particularly stuffies that she enjoys “wrecking”—as well as chewing on sticks and figuring out her Kong. Adele is also a cuddle bug who loves belly rubs and pets. She’s becoming more playful every day and is increasingly confident in new situations. She has a cute, high-pitched yawn that’s earned her the nickname “kettle,” and her need for affection is matched only by her eagerness to please. Adele would thrive in an active home where she’s kept physically and mentally stimulated. She would prefer someone home more often than not to keep her company and offer her the attention she craves. Due to her past experiences, she needs an experienced, patient owner who can provide her with the time and care she needs to continue to grow into the confident, happy dog she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who’s ready to love and bring joy into your home, Adele might just be the perfect fit! Adele is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is currently fostered in Pickering. Apply to adopt! https://forms.gle/B9bqj6MQ9kYrNRxB7
