Story
Akio is our quirky boy. He’s five years old and has a funny personality like most huskies, but unlike most huskies he’s really mellow and not super talkative! He prefers to stare you down rather than talk your ear off. Akio loves cuddles and the outdoors. We’ve had him since he was a puppy so he gets along great with people, kids, dogs, and the few cats he’s met. Akio is crate trained and will do best in a home with a crate and a backyard.

Story
Everest Junie, affectionately known as “EJ,” is a soft, sweet and loyal girl. She’s a total rescue favorite- cherished by all who have had to opportunity to be a part of her story. If “rescued” is your favorite breed, pizza is your favorite food, you can appreciate a good long lazy morning snuggle, and you consistently find stale dog treats in your pockets… you and EJ are surely a match made in heaven. EJ is estimated to be around 1 year and 2 months old. She currently tips the scales at a perfectly lap-sized 40 pounds, which is lucky because her favorite place to be is her foster mom’s lap. We think she may be a Husky, Lab mix but she is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. WATCH EJ's sweetness! https://youtu.be/t1duDI4IOx0 Resistant, loyal and incredibly sweet- EJ is everything you could want in a rescue dog like herself. She has a huge and grateful heart, patience and love have allowed her to blossom in such a wonderfully worth-it way. A uniquely sweet rescue story, EJ came to us begging for her favorite food, pizza! She was found alongside her gorgeous Husky mother, who has since been adopted. EJ was initially very shy with us, she didn’t appreciate touch but is very, very tolerant of it. She never showed aggression, and while she didn’t necessarily want our love at first, she did seem to understand that it was indeed LOVE. Now, EJ has come such a long way in her journey and is absolutely thriving in a loving foster home with her foster pawrents, their teenage daughter, and two other dogs. In her foster home, EJ has shown that with patience and trust-building, she comes out of her shell entirely. She’s a total lovebug in her foster home, napping in bed with her foster parents, snuggling and playing with toys with her humans. Her foster parents advocate that she is fully potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to their home. She loves her foster doggie siblings and will need a home with at least one other dog, as they are her biggest source of comfort and confidence. When she’s feeling anxious, EJ has the cutest habit of sitting on top of her doggy friends to feel safe. Playing in the backyard, she’s full of silly energy and moves like a baby fox (and kind of looks like one too)! Here at the rescue, EJ is amazing with every dog she meets, tolerant of rough and rowdy players and pushy puppies. She loves playful dogs!! EJ is so amazing with other dogs that she has been routinely used as an assessment dog, meaning that she greets new intake dogs, teaches the dog that the rescue is a fun and safe place to be, and teaches us about the new dog’s canine-to-canine sociability. As an assessment dog, she has saved hundreds of doggy lives- Everest Junie is such an inspirational, innocent and perfect pup. EJ’s perfect home has a fenced yard, at least one other dog, and a calm and patient environment where she can truly blossom. EJ has made amazing progress with her confidence and now seeks out love and attention from her people, but will likely still need some trust-building decompression time with her forever family. She has grown tremendously in her time at the rescue and now with her foster family, where has learned the comforts of a soft bed, ice cream and beef jerky, and squeaky toys. She is extremely food motivated and will happily do most anything for a treat. She adores pets on the face, neck, and tummy, and has the cutest yawn “reflex” when her head is rubbed. At the rescue, she has spent time with children as young as 3. She did well with these dog-savvy and respectful little ones. If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky, and loyal companion, EJ might just be the perfect addition to your pack. She’s ready to find her forever family and share all the love she has to give. We are willing to test EJ with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you. If you have any questions about her, her situation or her needs, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, who would be thrilled to have a discussion with you about this beautiful girl. Our behavior team is also ready to have an in-depth discussion about EJ’s behavioral needs with her forever family. Please email jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
This dreamy fluffy boy is named Marshall Cooper. Marshall is a handsome, sweet boy that adores other dogs, treats, and squeaky toys. He’s destined to be a valued family member. His foster family brags that he’s great with kids, and knows how to sit on command! He’s a perfect family dog, perfect work from home companion, perfect playmate for your dog. Marshall is a big boy, 68 pounds of fluff, sunshine and good vibes. We think he may be a Husky, Malamute mix, but he is a rescue so these are just our best guesses. Marshall is currently estimated to be around 2 years old, the perfect age to value a snuggle as much as a backyard play sesh. Fall in love with Marshall here: https://youtu.be/ky94iyUufGM?si=wktFlBLB6dPqhYIh Beloved by his foster family, Marshall currently resides in a home with other dogs and does well with them! He enjoys playing in the yard with his 45 pound male foster sibling. His foster family brags that he’s great with kids that he meets on walks and excursions, he knows how to sit on command, and knows how to get into his kennel on command. They boast his great house manners, and potty-trained status. Treats are the way to his heart, his foster family says, and he will work for them! Marshall is food motivated, which will make further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Here at the rescue, Marshall showed off his canine social skills, doing great with every dog he met. He has a bouncy and fun playstyle that encourages other dogs to play chase with him. We think he would do well in a home with other medium energy dogs. Marshall does well on leash, he could use a tiny bit of polishing but he has a great basic understanding of leash manners. He’s also a very confident walker, not afraid of stairs or tight spaces on leash. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy that will impress you in the woods, Marshall is your guy! Marshall is great in the car, and confident and friendly with strangers. Taking him out and about will be a pleasure. Take this cutie to the park and watch him steal hearts. Marshall is affectionate and engaged at times, but also content to do is own thing. He doesn’t mind occupying himself with a toy for a while, taking a nap by himself, or simply meandering around and taking in all the sniffs. He would be a perfect work from home companion! Marshall Cooper’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to keep him company, and lots of treats to munch on. We do recommend a kitty-free home for Marshall! He could be an only-dog, or doggy-siblings with a medium energy dog that doesn’t mind some backyard play time. With any questions, please reach out to his adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Marshall with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Charslie is a petite and innocent bundle of joy. She’s a 3LP behavior team fav, a “really good girl,” and a vibrant and happy addition to any family. She’s small dog friendly and great with kids, an easy-going girl that’s ready for whatever life throws at her next. We believe that Charslie is a Husky mix of some sort, though she is a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. Charslie is estimated to be around 2 years old, and we believe she’ll stay this small forever, at just 39 pounds. Meet Charslie here: https://youtu.be/VsOBS1_jmxY?feature=shared Charslie is great with other dogs, big and small. She’s adorably playful, with that classic bouncy husky playstyle! Here at the rescue we’ve seen her with dogs as small as 20 pounds, and she’s gotten along well with all of them. Charslie has also spent time with kids as young as three years old. She is gentle and sweet with them, and unbothered by the loud noises and fast movements that kids can bring. Treats and toys are the way to Charslie’s heart. This sweet girl loves to play fetch, and more than that, she loves to run victory laps, tennis ball in mouth, letting you know that she’s WON fetch! She loves squeaky toys and stuffies too, and loves loves loves crinkly toys! Charslie is best described as “affectionate but not needy.” This sweet little angel would soak up your pets and attention all day if you’d let her, but she isn’t overly persistent in her requests for pets and attention. She is completely capable of entertaining herself with a toy or a nap, and we think she would make an amazing work from home companion because of it! We believe that Charslie would be a great fit for an active family that will play with her in the backyard, take her on adventures, and give her a joyful and eventful life. She would absolutely love the family dog lifestyle! We do not recommend Charslie for a home with kitties, she was a little too interested in our house cat Tom. Charslie is such a sweet and precious soul, and she’s ready for her forever home. We are willing to test Charslie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Attention!! Attention!! Calling all husky lovers! Do we have a special treat for you, his name is Hammie Fluffington and he is an absolute dream. He is the definition of a life size teddy bear if you couldn't already tell. One of my favorite things about Hammie is how affectionate he is and with everyone he meets! He is gentle in the way he shows affection; even when he believes he is a lap dog and he believes that often. So get ready for this fluffy teddy bear to crawl into your lap and become the ultimate weighted blanket because that is exactly what you're going get when adopting Hammie. One thing you'll also notice about Hammie is that he always has a smile on this face. This boy is happy all the time and when he looks up at you with that big smile of his and those gorgeous ice blue eyes, you'll be completely smitten. Watch his video and find yourself completely captivated by Hammie Fluffington and watch his video: https://youtu.be/RMrvpqU--kU?si=Sq_DNYJG1yJwnmLh Hammie is a husky malamute mix approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 75 lbs and is full grown. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. It's a pretty fair assumption, just based off looks alone, Hammie is without a doubt part husky. We'd be so happy to find adopters who have a little husky experience under their belt --- someone who gets their fun, independent spirit and is ready for a loving, adventurous companion. Hammie is dog friendly and does great walking past other dogs on walks or out in public and has done great in playgroups here at the rescue. He is not a super playful guy, he will romp around with a few dogs in the yard but for the most part, he's off doing his own thing exploring or getting loved on by his humans. In a home, he will do best with aloof submissive females that have the same tempo has him, cool, calm, and collected. Hammie isn't the type to engage in roughhouse or constant play, making him a perfect match for a more independent easy-going lady friend. Hammie would also be great as your one and only furry companion in the home as well. He does not need the company of another dog to feel comfortable. He's a naturally happy go-lucky guy that has a smile on his face at all times. Not to worry though, Hammie has has an abundance of love to give and has the personality of 3 dogs dogs combined. He has all of the qualities needed to fulfill all of your hopes and dreams for the perfect doggy companion. Hammie would also do best in a kitty free home as well. Hammie thrives in semi-active home environment that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While he loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, Hammie is also a cuddly guy at home. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing indoors, Hammie is the perfect fit. He would also do best in a home with a backyard as well. A place where he can stretch his legs, check out all of his favorite sniff spots, and roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. Kids are welcome too! Hammie has spent time with Sadie, who is 14 and he loved her. They had so much fun rough housing together and she was able to give him some guidance if he got a little over excited. Hammie enjoyed post play snuggles and belly rubs on the couch as well and you could just tell he was in heaven with her. In a home, Hammie appreciates the sturdiness of older kids because he loves to lean his whole body into you for affection, lay on your lap like he is a 5lb chihuahua, and likes to roughhouse play on occasion. We are willing to test Hammie Fluffington with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
