I get soooo very happy when I see my foster mom put on her shoes and get the leash out – I do zoomies and get very chatty about how excited I am to be going out to explore! I am a good listener too. I have all the best qualities of my breeds; loyal, affectionate, obedient. I know my human keeps me safe; I still like to let her know when someone is approaching just in case she isn’t paying attention. She always is and she tells me to be quiet and I instantly am. Did I mention that I just love to be around my human family? I would do best in a home with older kids I think, little ones can be scary...At night I sleep in my crate and I know when my bedtime is, so my foster mom does not even tell me to go to bed. Oh! And I love chest and belly rubs, lots and lots and LOTS of belly rubs. You will often catch me on my back, full belly showing and tail wagging wildly! AND I am housetrained! We adopted this sweet girl from our local shelter when she was just a little puppy. She had been brought in as a stray at 8 weeks and given her shelter name, Sola, meaning "alone" in Spanish. We were blessed to bring her home and renamed her, Maple - because she's sweet like Maple Syrup! Maple is now 2 years old and loves to run, hike, play fetch, chase squirrels, & adventure. She is eager to please and loves working for treats. Maple would love a home where she can maintain an active lifestyle and receive plenty of cuddles and belly rubs at the end of the day. My mom was recently struck by a vehicle and will need plenty of in-home assisted care and adaptations. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide Maple the, space, time, care, and attention she so very much deserves while also tending to my mom & assisting in her recovery. It’s clear they had been dumped and were fending for themselves. Thankfully our Mexico contact reached out for help, and we had an open foster to take in all 9 puppies and mom! Carmen, Catalina, Lupita, Margarita, Maya, Nacho, Oso, Pablo & Tecate are about 12 weeks old and we’ve started their initial vetting to prepare them for adoption. They are a gorgeous group with colors varying grey, brindle, black and some with light colored eyes. We are guessing the mix is Lab/Weimaraner/Pittie mix. They are super sweet puppies and are going to make wonderful family members. We expect them to mature in the 50 – 60 lb range when full grown. The perfect size! Adoption fee is $400 and includes registered microchip, first DHP vaccine, deworming, flea treatment and spay/neuter.
