Story
adoption donation : $699 weight  35 lbs  Age 4 months as of 1/17        Charlotte and her siblings were dumped at a gas station in a rural part of Mississippi when they were quite young, they were starving when the Wags director  found them and took them in to the rescue. She nursed them back to health and gave them the vet care they needed and all five are now healthy and happy puppies, running and playing and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap.      Charlotte is so sweet! She is all tail wags and wiggles and just loves everyone she meets. She  is house trained at Wags but like any rescue may need a refresher course while she adjusts to a new home.    She is spayed, and up-to-date on his vaccines and ready for loving family of her own. We’re hoping to bring Charlotte up to the northeast next Saturday, February 8      Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter at one of the clinics we use. For more information on adopting Charlotte  or any of our many Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.comtte     February 1, 2025, 9:59 pm

Story
adoption donation : $699 weight  40 lbs  Age 8 months as of 3/6        Austin is a gorgeous pup who is part of a litter that seemed to be Irish wolfhound mixes, they were mostly scruffy face pups although Austin looks more like a black lab. Austin and his  siblings were dumped at a gas station in a rural part of Mississippi when they were quite young, they were starving when the Wags director  found them and took them in to the rescue. She nursed them back to health and gave them the vet care they needed and all five are now healthy and happy puppies, running and playing and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap.      Austin is a sweet boy and is definitely warming up at his foster home  in the northeast but he’s shy around people but he absolutely adores other dogs ! He is never happier than when he is running and playing with other pups. We’d really like a home for Austin with at least one other dog, he just loves every dog he meets! He is fine with cats too.    Austin is housebroken, neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines and ready for loving family of his own.      Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs.  Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Story
My name is Nyssa which means New Beginnings. I started out with mange, skinny and my eyes were sealed together with infection. Then CPR rescue found me and saved me. ❤️! Oh goodness how my world has changed!!! I am 100 % well, healthy and happy! I love everyone! I play great with other playful happy dogs around my size. I also have learned about cuddling and giving kisses which makes me so happy and humans say I am precious because of it. My first visit loose in the house, I thought the coffee table was my throne so I stood on it and felt special. But my foster parents explained that is not a good behavior or my throne. I have slowly learned to act more mannerly and humble. I love my Nyla bone to put me to sleep. Don’t tell anyone but it is my pacifier, as you call it in the human world. Oh, and let’s talk about my golden eyes!🐶 My foster mom and dad said I am the best crate dog they have ever had! I go in quietly and let them cook, eat, clean and watch tv. They give me a treat also so I will go in and out of the crate any time they allow 🐕. Bottom line, I am wanting my own person or family since I know that is going to be my forever destination. I sure hope someone that sees this says I am worthy to be loved by them. I promise to love you more. My foster mom will gladly talk to you about me. She really loves me. Nyssa is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Fanny Sabrina is a 12 wk nugget, adorable little mixed breed puppy and we think she is so cute we can hardly stand it! She is well socialized, friendly, loves to play with her dog friends, LOVES people, and is just generally a very good time. Hobbies are napping, eating, finding mischief, and stealing kisses! Waiting for her forever home. Fanny Sabrina Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pup’s at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm.
