adoption donation : $699 weight 10 lbs  Age: 12 weeks as of 7/17       Meet the Brady Bunch puppies! Five boys and five girls, Marcia, Jan, Cindy, Carol, Alice and the boys, Greg, Peter, Bobby, Mike, and Sam (remember, Alice the housekeeper‘s boyfriend?)   The Bradys are darling lab and husky mix puppies. Dad was a full lab and Mom a husky mix, both of the parents were 55 to 60 pounds and we expect these puppies to be around the same although Greg and Bobby are the biggest and fluffiest of the pups.     Cindy Brady is a sweet and friendly girl, her sister Marcia is shy but Cindy is full of personality! She loves to play with her siblings. The puppies are having a grand time in their foster home in Mississippi, running and romping together and snuggling into a great big puppy pile to nap. The puppies have had vaccinations, but will be spayed and neutered when they are older. Wags will pay for the procedure at one of the clinics that we use in the northeast or reimburse adopters what we pay if they choose to use their own vet.    Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Wags desperately need to raise funds to help the sick and older dogs at the rescue. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. For more information on adopting one the Bradys or any of our other dogs  please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com    August 19, 2024, 7:04 am

Story
Age: 1 year     Weight 40 lbs      Donation: $499          Patsy Cline is an adorable and loving young dog who along with her brothers Johnny Cash and Hank Williams were found in a remote area of rural Mississippi, curled up together in the woods. The local animal control officer called Wags who stepped in to save the siblings.             Patsy is house trained  and lives with cats in her foster home in the northeast. She is very attached to her foster mom, she likes to follow her around and lie her feet. Patsy is shy with new people and needs to build some confidence, we think having another dog in the family would be key, she gets along great with dogs and really thrives when she’s in a pack. Because she can be timid, we think she’s best in a home with older children,       Patsy is a good girl and will make a loving member of the family         For more information please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  August 19, 2024, 7:04 am

Story
WINNIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!   Hi! My name is Winnie!   I would love to meet you in person—that’s kind of my thing. But the internet is life these days, so I’ll give it a shot!   I think life is an adventure, and I am excited about everything! My sister and my foster think I have too much energy, but I’m pretty sure that’s impossible. I love to walk, but I’d rather run. And I will play until the sun goes down, and then snuggle until we can play again.   I have been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. I weigh around 50 pounds.   All I need is a forever home, and some love. And maybe some play time. Lots and lots of play time.   Winnie, along with her sister, were found in rural Mississippi on August 10, 2022. At the time of her rescue, the vet estimated her to be about 6 months old. We picked February 25th to celebrate as her birthday, and she and her sister had a fun time celebrating their first.   When we found Winnie, she had a broken leg. Her veterinarian says it has mended nicely, and seems to have left her without any ill effects. She also has a partially blue eye—we aren’t sure if it is congenital, or caused by the same injury that broke her leg.   Winnie tries very hard to be good. As far as housebreaking goes, she is mostly there, and very well crate trained. She is also trained to sit, shake, and stay, though excitement tends to overcome her determination to listen.    You can apply to adopt Winnie at www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   Her adoption fee of $500 includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Winnie up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Winnie here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 10:00 am

Story
ECHO IS IN A FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED.   This is Echo. As you can see, Echo is gigantic, but gentle. Echo and two siblings were found on a dark country road in February of 2023. She was badly abused, and is extremely shy. Echo has received lots of love and attention, but is still a very scared girl, who will need lots of love and gentle care. New situations and people can be terrifying for Echo, and her fear sometimes expresses itself through aggression. We are working with her to overcome this, but she will need training and love. If you can break through that shell, you will find a gigantic, thoughtful, couch potato. If you give Echo a chew bone and a comfy seat, she will be one of the happiest creatures you have ever met. She is extremely intelligent, emotive, and personable. If you annoy Echo, she will remember it, and steal your seat in revenge. The only way to get her to leave is by giving her a belly rub. Echo will shadow your every move. If you are going somewhere, she wants to come with you. She is at her happiest when she has a nice chewbone and the seat next to you. She is fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Echo up north to her new family. Story
Jasper is a 2 year old golden that wants to work and wants to please. He is highly trainable and would like a lot of activity. We adopted him a few months ago and have worked with him a lot at classes and with training, but he needs someone experienced with dogs and no children due to his insecurity around food and his history of leash pulling (which has improved significantly with a halty and harness). He bit an adult family member surrounding his food issues so we cannot have him in the home with small children.
