Wayne is an 8 month old male Lab mix, who would love to be your new best friend! He is very friendly and oh-so-eager to please. He will even occasionally jump up to your level, just to show how much he loves you. Wayne also gets along very well with other dogs, and has lived in the same pen with a few different dogs while at the shelter (currently with Rocky). The other dogs have really helped Wayne come out of his shell, bringing out his joyful lovable personality. When he is in the park, he loves to run as fast as he can to check out everything; but then he comes running back to you, since you are MOST interesting to him! Afterwards, Wayne enjoys resting close by you, and simply hanging out together. He will make a wonderful, loving companion for someone. Please visit Wayne soon, he can’t wait to meet you! Story
Nevada is a 2 year old female Lab mix, who is friendly and sweet-natured. She absolutely loves being with people! Nevada enjoys a short run in the park, but seems to prefer spending most of her outdoor time walking around and exploring new sights and smells. Nevada is fine when passing by other dogs’ cages, and she came in to the shelter with another female dog. Still, a meet-n-greet is always recommended if other dogs live in your home. Nevada is fairly laid back, well-mannered, walks well on a leash, and will follow your lead. She also takes treats oh-so-gently from your hand, and has such sweet soulful eyes that are sure to steal your heart! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Maddox is a 6 year old male Lab / Great Dane mix, who is a sweet and friendly boy! Maddox may be 6 years young, but don’t let that fool you - he has plenty of energy to keep up with an active family. Whether it’s walking around the neighborhood, playing Fetch in the yard, learning new tricks, or simply relaxing by your side, Maddox is all in! He thrives on being with people and would absolutely love to be your new best friend. Whenever he is in the shelter’s fenced-in park, Maddox loves to run around the perimeter and explore any new scents. He's definitely the curious type, always eager to see what’s going on around him. He also likes to greet any dogs that pass by the fence, and we’re planning to test him for doggie playgroups soon. There seems to be only one thing that Maddox doesn’t like, and that is cats … he is just too interested in the feral cats around the shelter, so a cat-free home would be best for him. Otherwise, he is a happy-go-lucky and friendly guy who just wants to find his forever family soon. If you’re looking for an active and loyal companion who is always up for an adventure, Maddox is your perfect match! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Peyton is an 8 month old female Lab mix, who is sure to bring happiness into your life! She is almost solid white, except for a black patch above one eye and the most adorable spots on both ears … so precious! Peyton has an exuberant joy that is contagious, as well as a sweet playful personality that is sure to entertain you. This cute girl absolutely LOVES being with people, and will gladly come to you when called. Peyton also is friendly with other dogs, and has done well in play sessions with other pups. She has met a couple cats through the fence, and shows no reaction to them other than mild curiosity. Peyton loves people so much that she sometimes has a tendency to show it by jumping up to get your attention. But now that she realizes she will be ignored when jumping, she is rapidly learning better behavior. Fortunately she is a good age for training and is very eager to please, so Peyton can quickly learn the rules of her new household. From there, this adorable pup will blossom into the perfect lifelong companion that she was meant to be. In return, Peyton will bring her family ongoing joy, laughter, and complete adoration. Itsa is a 5 month old female Lab mix, who is such a lovable little pup! She has a glossy black coat, along with a distinctive speckled white/black mix on her chest.  She is sometimes shy at first, but has much more confidence when she is taken to the quieter park area. Once in the park, her super cute personality comes out, and she enjoys everything - playing, romping around with her sister Icy, and getting yummy treats. And sweet Itsa especially loves getting attention and pets! She just leans right in to you to get more. Overall, that is her dream - a loving home that provides her with the attention and care for her to thrive, and allows her to blossom into the wonderful companion she was meant to be. Story
Our dog (lab/retriever mix) got pregnant by a stray terrier mix (we assume) last summer. We've been able to rehome all but this guy and his brother. He is about 15 lbs now. Mom is only 30-35 lbs and dad was maybe 25 lbs. Born Aug 7th 2024...almost 5 months old. Up to date on all vaccines including rabies. Ordering a voucher for neutering if needed. Small rehoming donation would be xxxx@xxxx.x 's chat if that's an issue. 1st photo was taken recently...the others are older. He plays rough with chickens.....needs a non-free-range-chicken home. He's not aggressive at all, very playful. Very submissive, not a big barker. Excellent with kids and other dogs. Sweet boy! Help me find him a new forever home ❤️ We can't keep him cause too many animal mouths to feed and we free range our chickens.

Story
These 3 beautiful girls were part of a hoarding case during our quarantine. The 2 black lab ladies were kept on the back porch, and based on their behavior and the condition of the porch, they’ve likely never been off that porch until now. The door to the porch was wide open for days and they were barely brave enough to poke their heads out. Our officers had to climb into the porch and carry them to the truck. The border collie mix las was in a pen off to the side of the property. She also didn’t know what to do when we let her out of the pen. All three girls, despite their living conditions, are the SWEETEST girls you’ll ever meet. They love to get pets and get so excited when we come up to their kennels. The collie mix was placed on a diet when she came in and will need to continue that for a while. The labs have some sort of skin condition that will need further care at a vet, but is likely due to prolonged fecal and urine exposure. Now, I want to start off this portion of the description by saying hoarding is a mental health disorder. Usually, hoarding is caused by an underlying mental health disorder or some type of trauma and requires professional mental health intervention. The owner involved in this case had good intentions, but terrible execution and couldn’t take care of herself, let alone her animals. This home is not livable for any creature. Let alone a human, 3 dogs, and at one point 40+ cats. All of this could have been avoided if help was sought after. Some people with hoarding disorder may not seek help because they're embarrassed about their behavior. However, if you think you or a loved one might have a hoarding disorder, you can consult a mental health professional.
