Story
I got Blayze from a friend of mine when he was 12 weeks old. He is house trained. Very quiet dog. He doesn’t bark and he appears to be very anxious. He is not aggressive and is nervous around most new people. Would possibly be great for someone with multiple pets because he has a blast when he is at daycare. Or someone who can give him more attention than I can.

Story
Adoption Fee: $200 Physical appearance: Annie is a 12-year-old chow/Pitbull/Labrador mix. She is a medium size dog and weighs about 50lbs. She has the most adorable crinkled ears and her eyes will melt even the iciest of hearts, Personality: Annie just wants you to love her 24/7. She is a total sweetheart and will look at you like she is staring deep into your soul. She does great with the dogs in her foster home, even the testy one. She also ignores the cats. Annie can be quite protective of her foster mom if she thinks something is dangerous, and her bark is a great deterrent. All Annie wants is to sit in your lap, stare longingly into your eyes and sneak a gentle lick now and then. She LOVES breakfast and dinner and even with her age, will get a major pep in her step and try to jump as her foster mom walks her food bowl over. You know she's super excited when she nibbles and nips at your fingers while she trots by your side. She is an amazingly sweet girl that is just looking for the home to let her live out the rest of her days. Why she’s in rescue: Annie was found by one of our volunteers when she ran out in front of her car.  It took no coaxing at all to get her into the car and she was taken to the shelter to be scanned for a chip. The owner was located but stated Annie was old and he didn't want her anymore. The volunteer refused to leave her at the shelter (who could blame her!) and offered to foster her if we would find her the forever home she deserves. Manners and training: Annie is potty, and crate trained, but she will have an accident in the house if not let out often.  She's older and just can't hold it like she used to. She is not destructive in the house and can be left out of the crate if someone prefers. She will also wear diapers without an issue. When her foster mom goes out she just naps on the couch or on the memory foam dog bed. She walks well on a leash but does need help getting in and out of the car. Vetting: All our dogs are brought up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and combo, negative for intestinal parasites and heartworms, neutered and microchipped before adoption. Annie does have arthritis so steroid injections now and then help keep her pep in her step and reduce any pain. She has a couple of lumps and bumps but they have all been biopsied and found to be benign. ##1810664##

Story
Ginny is an almost 2 year old Lab mix. Her previous owner stated that she was also part Boykin Spaniel but we are not sure of this. She was surrendered to us due to the health of her previous owner. Ginny can be a bit shy with new people and things, but with a little time and patience, we think she will open up well! She has lived with other dogs previously, but we always suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in your home. Ginny is a sweet girl who just needs a little extra love and affection. Ginny is still young and has a good bit of energy. She would love to find a yard to play in. We do not think Ginny would be good with small children due to her being a little more timid. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.August 20, 2024, 2:14 am

Story
Haven is a 1 year old Lab/Hound mix. This sweet, energetic, lady is full of life and love to give to her next family! Haven is very energetic, but she is basically still a puppy so that is pretty typical. Haven loves to play and is a bit of a wiggle-butt. She would do best in a home where she can still be the active puppy that she is! Haven loves people and we think she would do well in just about any family setting. We do not know if she has even been around other dogs, so a meet-n-greet is always suggested! Haven will need an owner who is willing to help train her into the perfect dog for their family! With her being so young, she still has so much potential to bring to the table! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
This wonderful dog with the big smile is TK. He is a handsome young adult Labrador/Pit-mix boy whose coat is solid black, except for some white on his chestand all four of his paws. TK enjoys his toys, especially the rope ones, and seemscontent to play by himself if he has to. He is shy and gentle when he first meetsyou, but with a little patience, you will quickly be rewarded with seeing the realTK shine through. A few treats and a walk in the shelter park bring out his sweet,heart-melting smile as well as his confidence. He will transform into a playfulloving dog right in front of your eyes, and you will be greeted with the happiesttippy taps and tail wags. It won’t take you long to understand why the volunteersat the shelter have a very special place in their hearts for this sweet boy.
