Story

Diamond is a 5-year-old white Lab-Australian Shepherd mix. She is approximately 35lbs...but very compact. She's spayed and was treated for HW on October 9&10. Diamond is extremely timid and submissive until she feels safe with you. She's very sweet and loving. Sadly, she cowers a lot and will roll over on her back in hopes that she's being good. If she's rewarded with a belly scratch session, she'll take it all day long! She prefers to be near her best friend Tookie, preferably napping after a good wrestling match. She stresses when she is not with him. We don't know how she is with cats or young kids. She's fine with older kids and all other humans. She's crate-trained and does well walking on a leash. Note: Tookie and Diamond are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They share a special bond and provide each other with comfort and companionship. We hope to find a loving home that can welcome both of them and keep their friendship intact.

Huey Lewis believes in the Power of Love. Which is great, since he appears to love all people, at all times. He's a funny, good natured boy who makes an Olympic sport out of chewing toys and snuggling. It should not surprise you that he's won a gold medal in both events.He loves to run and be outside so he'd do great with a family that either had a backyard or liked to go running, hiking, etc. He adores being with people and is so, so sad when we leave so he'd also love to be with someone that can spend a good amount of time with him. Once he's gotten some wiggles out, he's more than happy to grab a chew toy or some cardboard to nosh on, then lay down on his bed while you work, watch TV, maybe write the next great power ballad with his help.He's fairly quiet most of the time but he's got a big bark, so he sounds even larger than he actually is! He's still fairly young and he was kept in a crate with very little training for the bulk of his life, so he'll definitely need some guidance, but he's got the basics down. He knows "sit", "lay down", "wait", "let's go", and "outside" so far and he's a smart boy who's eager to please: he'll be an amazing companion with a small amount of effort.Huey is fully house trained and presumably crate trained. He loves to chase birds and squirrels and still pulls a bit on the leash, but still nothing that can't be worked through with a little training. He has shown absolutely no resourcing guarding behavior and is generally incredibly well behaved.
